i'm one of the delicate flowers that thinks that cunt names etc lead to a general feeling that it's okay to be aggressively sweary on the boards, which in turn imo leads to the atmosphere of this place getting shittier (although i've never actually complained to HQ directly) , but i thought your name was quite non-aggressive and funny.

that said, if HQ asked me to change my name, i would, cos what's fun about pissing off the party hosts?

I do agree about the sweariness on boards. In RL I don't know anyone who openly uses the word count unless for VERY special occasions yet looking on here you'd think it was the norm. It doesn't bother me as I can avoid those threads/posters BUT to allow that but ask a poster to change her name is complete rubbish and hypocrisy imho.

I don't find the name either particularly funny or particularly offensive. But it does seem to be a teensy-weensy overreaction on the part of MNHQ, given some of the well dodgy names floating the boards.

I have a shit name. It is possibly a bit boaky if you don't realise that a) it's a really tenuous reference to Red Dwarf and b) the creators of said show deny categorically that the word 'smeg' is derived from smegma . I haven't changed it yet for the simple reason that I lack imagination.
