Bit of random topic to put in here, but I've yet to get any useful advice elsewhere!

Is it for a legal job?

Ex-lawyer here...

Are you qualified or applying for training contracts?

I would say that the general interview rule applies: if they like you, they'll hire you. They know from your CV if your academics and experience match what they want - so in my experience, the interview is just about whether your face fits. Be yourself. Try not to come across as nervous - it gives the impression that you will be like that with clients, and clients like to have the comforting feeling that you know what you're doing. Also try not to be arrogant (at the other extreme) cos people won't like you.

I'm brilliant at interviews it seems - I get offered every job I go for Grin and I suspect it's just because I feel comfortable in an interview situation and sort of enjoy it. There's no secret - just try to relax and be yourself.

Any more info about the job you're going for? If it's a TC then it will be more competitive I should think - it gets tons easier once you're qualified.
