YANBU, if she's happy leave her! Most babies like a few minutes chilling in their cot before getting up. I know I don't get straight out of bed when I wake if I don't have to- do you? Let her relax for a while.

YABVU!! NO-ONE with an ounce of compassion could possibly endorse 'Controlled Mumbling'!!! Where's your humanity woman?!!!

CogitoErgoSometimes · 10/03/2012 10:09

Finish your coffee... In fact, you've probably got time to make a bacon sarnie to go with it. :)

CremeEggThief · 10/03/2012 10:11

YABU, if you don't finish your coffee first :).

Pascha · 10/03/2012 10:19

I would and do. If its not a full blown shout or crying it gets gently ignored for at least 10 minutes, if i'm lucky he mumbles himself back to sleep for a bit. Smile

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 10/03/2012 10:26

Mubling is good - let her mumble. The earlier they learn that you don't have to get up the second you wake up, the better! Listen for the bit between 'mumbling' and 'howling' - go in then Grin

trixie123 · 10/03/2012 10:28

I did but my payback was the last mouthful being all gritty and vile - need new cafetiere!
