I think DP might propose on Saturday. Should i practise my response?? I dont want him to remind me that my first words were wtf? Or errrrr or some such rubbish. What immortal words shall i use?
I'll probably just say 'yes' in a baby voice.

Why Saturday? Is it a special occasion? Smile

AngryFeet · 08/03/2012 17:08

Yes in a baby voice sounds scary Confused

GetTheeToANunnery · 08/03/2012 17:09

Definitely practise! My first response was shut up [shocked]

WorraLiberty · 08/03/2012 17:09

You could do it Churchill the Dog stylee

OHHHHH YESSSS! Grin

angelonthetree · 08/03/2012 17:10

don't practise!! spontaneity is best. and you don't want to answer "yes darling, i've never wanted anything more" if he says "weevil, will you.....pass me the wine"

mopbucket · 08/03/2012 17:12

Pracise no Grin just for our entertainment

Winkly · 08/03/2012 17:16

Nah no point, when DH proposed I just burst into tears. I hugged and kissed him then he said "er, you've not answered me yet" :)

RuleBritannia · 08/03/2012 17:18

When my XH asked me, I said, "Let me think about it yes." [How foolish I was]

Kayano · 08/03/2012 17:30

My
DH asked me after a year. My response was 'eeee na! Are ya joking?!'

(Geordie)

He said no, pulled out the ring, tried to get
Down on one knee and fell over, proposed doggy style on all fours
Pretty much.

I then said yes...

And it was STILL perfect

Therefore do not practice, YABU
Let it flow naturally if t happens

valiumredhead · 08/03/2012 17:31

Please don't do a baby voice!

Nagoo · 08/03/2012 17:43

practice?

What, in different voices? Grin

TotallyUnsure · 08/03/2012 18:29

i thought DH was mucking about so he got a 'yes sir' with obligatory salute - still havent lived that one down yet! :o

GretaGarble · 08/03/2012 18:32

If you're likely to say yes in a baby voice then I'd practise speaking normally.

But if you're expecting him to propose your first words are unlikely to be wtf.

EvenBetter · 08/03/2012 19:05

Even though you know you'll say yes & you know he's going to do it, it'll still be a surprise and your emotions get up to all sorts, so what comes out your mouth will be a total surprise even to you.
I knew mine was going to & still said
'..?! Really?! W-d-here?!'

him-'EvenBetter..'
Me-'oh, yes!!'

Salmotrutta · 08/03/2012 19:09

I agree about the baby voice. That would be just wrong. And a bit odd.

But, how exciting! Grin

weevilswobble · 09/03/2012 23:56

Omfg. When will this surreal nightmare end?

weevilswobble · 10/03/2012 01:16

Its been on off on off for 6 bloomin years. I just want him to NOT come back again with a soppy CD that hooks me back in. Its just toxic and i want out now for good. I thought i wanted happy ever after. But my happy ever after is not with him. Exhausted with it all.
