Ooooh. Flying saucers. I love those! Dd is very into dibdabs atm. The ones with two flavours of sherbet with a sweety stick.

PeahenTailFeathers · 08/03/2012 11:54

I wish I hadn't read this thread. I am now craving a packet of fish and chip crisps and a Fuse bar so much that I'm drooling. And a Marble and maybe a Top Deck as well.

TheOneWithTheHair · 08/03/2012 11:55

Actually dibdabs had a red lolly in a packet of sherbet. Can't remember what the other thing is called.

TheSinglePringle · 08/03/2012 11:57

the one there was Fiz wiz too

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 11:58

And some sweet cigarettes with the Tom and Jerry cards and a pink bit on the end. Blush

TheSinglePringle · 08/03/2012 11:58

And double dip was the one with the stick and two dips

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 11:59

Kola Cubes were fab but gave you a sore mouth. Sad

TheSinglePringle · 08/03/2012 12:01

The sherbet filled fruits! I loved them

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 12:01

Chocolate Limes-mmmm.

TheSinglePringle · 08/03/2012 12:03

sparkling I love chocolate limes! Buy them all the time. I used to love cheery drops and abusers balls!

TheSinglePringle · 08/03/2012 12:04

Oh shit haha! ANISEED* not abusers! Auto correct!

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 12:04

I have to ask what 'abusers balls' are Single. Is it a typo? Shock

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 12:05

Thank goodness for that. Grin 'Can I have a quarter of Abusers Balls please?'. Shock

TheSinglePringle · 08/03/2012 12:06

I cringed when realised what it said! Using my phone and apparently ANISEED isnt a recognised word

LauraShigihara · 08/03/2012 12:06

I still take DS2 to the proper sweet shop on a Saturday morning to get his little cheapy stash for the week. He gets sherbet dibdabs and flying saucers and 'candy sticks' and those banana shaped, banana flavoured banana things that I loved when I was little. And a refill for his pez.

He gets a Beano and a Dandy too.

I chose weighed sweets from the jar to keep in my bag like a proper mum.

It's like spending Saturday in the seventies.

TheSinglePringle · 08/03/2012 12:07

And not cheery drops! Cherry drops*

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 12:08

We had Whizzer and Chips comic, or Bunty.

Love foamy bananas and shrimps Laura. Grin

BigGirlInASmallWorld · 08/03/2012 12:10

TheSinglePringle · 08/03/2012 12:11

BigGirlInASmallWorld · 08/03/2012 12:14

inmysparetime · 08/03/2012 12:15

The two flavoured sherbet was called "double dip", so sad that when you say it now, nobody thinks "sherbet", they think "recession"Sad
DH told me the other day that chocolate bars are not 30p anywhere except in my head Shock

TheOneWithTheHair · 08/03/2012 12:38

Thank you. Double dip. Not sure it makes me think of the recession or sherbet. Something a bit ruder. Blush

Nanny0gg · 08/03/2012 12:42

That's nearly 16 shillings!

And anyway, they're foul!

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 12:48

DH loves Sherbert Fountains. They just make me cough. Sad

TheOneWithTheHair · 08/03/2012 12:59

Our treat always used to be Fry's Turkish Delight. Mmmm
