or salmon steaks and veg - and then eat them [last night's leftovers]... Family think its mad - am worried about instilling weird eating habits in them (I don't let make them have any, they eat toast/cereal...)

YANBU. Eat what you fancy. 'A little of what you fancy does you good'.

YANBU

I ate leftover chicken and veg curry for breakfast this morning in a sandwich with salad cream

Sounds lovely to me ... but then I had a big bowl of spinach, with onions and cream (also leftovers).

I think we are weird to have specific breakfast foods, not all countries do.

Therefore YANBU - eat whatever you want!

TeWihara · 07/03/2012 10:28

PS I had a duck sandwich.

dontellimpike · 07/03/2012 10:29

Naw - get it down your neck if that's what you want!

trafficwarden · 07/03/2012 10:31

YANBU - I often have soup for breakfast.

lesley33 · 07/03/2012 10:31

I do this all the time. Had white rice for breakfast. My friends think this is strange. I don't.

BigGirlInASmallWorld · 07/03/2012 10:36

YANBU :)

We alway overorder on takeaway food just so there will be enough left for the next morning.

Salt and chilli chicken with chow mein...mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Now I'm annoyed that I was organised enough to stick food in the slow cooker before I left home this am. . :(

I couldn't eat sweet stuff in the morning, so I think your menu is perfectly acceptable. I have omelette (full of shrooms, peppers and onions), or beans on toast for my brekkie most mornings. On holiday in Thailand, I used to have a sort of fried rice dish with a poached egg on top... it was on the breakfast menu.

NorthernChinchilla · 07/03/2012 14:06

YANBU, it's leftover saag aloo for brekkie for me as a treat!

Perhaps eat the spag bol on toast to make it more breakfast-y for your family? Grin
