To ring the council and ask them to deal with this

Some c**t has kindly allowed their dog to shit on the corner outside our house- a route commonly used by kids going to school/oldies on their merry way. I cant bring myself to move someone elses dogs shit nor should I have to but I dont want it sat outside the house being trod in and walked all around the neighbourhood. WIBU to ring the council and ask them to sort this environmental health risk as tbh im fucking fuming

It is funny the way you have reacted.

The dog poo is not and the owner should be ashamed, but the way you have reacted is well over the top [and funny]

sixlostmonkeys · 05/03/2012 10:56

iamme43 is not the only person who finds this thread funny. I too am laughing and shaking my head in disbelief. (I picture you pacing around your house chanting - shit outside house shit outside house)

Don't get me wrong, I am not a poo fan, but lets get a bit of perspective here.
Ranting on a forum is funny in a different way, hence my concern that there are other issues.

Heswall · 05/03/2012 10:57

I'd want to rub their noses in it, the dirty bastards the owner not the dog
I wouldn't pick it up either OP

iamme43 · 05/03/2012 10:58

shit outside the house shit outside the house.

that made me laugh out loud.

sixlost.... you made my day.......[easily pleased Wink ]

sixlostmonkeys · 05/03/2012 11:00

heh, I'm just waiting to be called a knucklehead ;) (I'm easily please too!) Grin

iamme43 · 05/03/2012 11:02

sixlost.......................... your a knucklehead.

Just in case op is boiling the kettle for a swamp away.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 05/03/2012 11:03

Swamp away!

sixlostmonkeys · 05/03/2012 11:06

aww gee thanks!
Pleased as punch now.

added visions in my head now - and the phrase of the day is "Swamp away!" superhero stylee

iamme43 · 05/03/2012 11:06

sixlost....... we would get on well.

op has gone............ maybe on poo watch

sixlostmonkeys · 05/03/2012 11:10

We need to create an app so that we know where the nearest poo pile is.
Councils could access this info and send out The Boys or we could use it for our "Swamp Awayyyy!"

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 11:11

Aww sixlostmonkeys I'm so grateful for your 'concern' really I am!!! I'm not a fan of dog shit so won't be moving it...if that makes me someone with mental issues chanting about it outside well who am I to disappoint you

OP posts:
thatboysmum · 05/03/2012 11:14

I dont think YABU. This issue pisses me off daily! I'm sick of trying to dodge dog shit. Where I used to live there was actually a man in a van covered in paw prints specifically employed by the council to pick up dogshit. If OP lives somewhere that offers that service why shouldn't she use it?

iamme43 · 05/03/2012 11:20

I like the idea of an app....lol.

The op can use the service if she wants but it is the performance it has caused, would be far easier and quicker to ''swamp away''

sixlostmonkeys · 05/03/2012 11:21

May I just ask.... if you had already decided you were going to phone the council and would simply not be dealing with it in any other way, why did you ask us if you were being unreasonable?

I take it from your sarcasm that you aren't aware of any other serious issues going on, and I am honestly pleased that there aren't

sixlostmonkeys · 05/03/2012 11:22

aye, and what a performance!

"Swamp Away" - The Musical?

iamme43 · 05/03/2012 11:24

I think maybe we the ''swamp awayers'' made the thread by disagreeing.

Maybe we should of just giggled to ourselves and made the beds or something.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 05/03/2012 11:25

This has been an eyeopener - I never knew that councils had swamp away services.

YouOldSlag · 05/03/2012 11:25

I'm just wondering what the solution is in general.

In all seriousness, how do you change the mindset of someone who thinks it's OK to leave dog shit in the middle of a pavement?

Do you use fear? (Shop a Shitter campaign)?
Do you use a swab'n'shop technique? (DNA testing says it belong to Rover of 14 Blogg Street)

I mean seriously, how do we stop it when it can be so hard to police? I wish I knew. It really makes me so annoyed.

OP I really do understand your anger. I don't think you're over reacting as has been suggested but if you've had a stressy day and get dogshit outside your house/on your pram wheels/on your shoe it can fell like the last bloody straw.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 05/03/2012 11:25

lol at an app.

Called a CRapp

IAmBooyhoo · 05/03/2012 11:25

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 11:30

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 05/03/2012 11:30

I've literally got tears rolling down my face at "Shop a Shitter campaign"

Classic! Grin

PoppyAmex · 05/03/2012 11:33
