Angry

I am being exceedingly azy according to a F, and if I had a "real" job I wouldn't expect them to do that for me, and would I?

According to her I should be doing all the chores around the house because that is job.

She wonders what's the point of the DC having a SAHM if they have to make their beds, empty the dishwasher, put their clean clothes away and a few other ad hoc jobs.

Apparently I should do all this, and try to do it in the day when they're at school because that should be my working hours.

For arses sake, and she's a total eejit isn't she?

AIBU expecting my DC to take responsibility for a few chores even though I am a SAHM?

If your friend is a true career woman, she will understand the importance of delegating tasks down to the appropriate level and providing development opportunities to newer team members so they can improve their skills. And that's all you're doing, right?

I know men in their late 30s who do sweet feck-all in the house.
I also know their mums who curse themselves every day for doing absolutely everything for them and created lazy, self-righteous cunts grown men.
I have two boys and my eldest (5 yrs) makes his bed, folds his pyjamas and puts his plate in the sink. YADNBU. Your friend is a wind up merchant.

The wind'll change MrsDeVe. [wise]

Yus Buppy, let's be ladies what lunch.

lazy? lazy? LAZY?

It is a lot easier to do it yourself than to teach them how to do it, or have 2 children helping do the hoovering.

ds is well on the wayt to being able to do the washing. he knows that there should not be too many things in the machine and where to put the detergent. I haave yet to convince hime of the need to seperate colours and not to wash everything at 90 because he fancies seeing the number 9, but there is still time beforer he is launched into the world in another ooo 15 years time at 18ish.

I have my suspicians that he is more competent than his father at washing. he managed to wash the darks and lights together!

and i suspect he does not know where the detergent goes in the new machine.
