SO I'm on a work placement and this week am shadowing another employee. On monday I went into my bag to find my banana totally mashed up inside it's skin. I simply thought someone had stood on it and so chucked it in the big and forgot about it. I later mentioned it to this woman and she burst out laughing and was laughing so much she had tears rolling down her face. It went on for that long that she had trouble catching her breath and other employees came to find out what was going on!! So I thought that was weird.
Tuesday she asked me to sort out this trolley of records. I did it and then got called away to do something else. When I returned to the trolley the papers had been chucked EVERYWHERE, the sleeves rived out and slung all over and the trolley in the middle of the room as if it had been thrown. Another employee came in and said "Christ was the hell happened in here?? who was supposed to be on that trolley?" and my 'mentor' said I was so it looked like I'd done it.
Wednesday I went to make the group a tray of coffees. Mentor came with me and I turned my back for 2 minutes and when I came back all the coffees were overflowing, all over the tray and one had a tea-bag in it. I asked her why she'd done that and she looked at me like I was mad and said she hadn't touched them.
Now today we were in a meeting, she was sat behind me and I felt something wet on my neck. When I turned around she was almost pissing herself laughing. (bear in mind this was a meeting involving top consultants from around the region) I turned back and ignored her but later found that she'd flicked tea all up my shirt. She denies doing it of course and nobody saw her do it. She's popular and out of the two of us, the loyalty with ride with her because I'm "new" and "temp". This goes beyond "office foolery" imo!! what do you reckon?

It's bullying and you need to report it.

GrownUp2012 · 01/03/2012 19:56

Sounds awful.

Keep a diary of all the events.

Speak to your line manager.

ViviPru · 01/03/2012 19:56

How much longer have you got to endure this?

Hullygully · 01/03/2012 19:57

LIAR

Oh soz, I mean, I'm going to report this.

pjmama · 01/03/2012 19:58

Somebody in this scenario is barking mad.

Sarcalogos · 01/03/2012 19:58

Tbh the is so bizarre it doesn't sound true...

If it is... Um? Someone else must have noticed, this isn't the work of an otherwise normal person...

TheGrandOldDuke · 01/03/2012 19:58

Record it all, times and dates, and submit a bullying complaint. The woman is insane. Chin up x

ViviPru · 01/03/2012 19:58

I must admit, Hully I did click on this thread directly after reading yours and had to stifle a vehement Hmm

scurryfunge · 01/03/2012 19:58

Oh, have I fallen for it?

Psammead · 01/03/2012 20:00

I have the weirdest feeling of deja vu reading this.

Sorry, if it's true then you need to report it.

But seriously I swear I have read this before. Maybe it was a different person temping with the same woman.

crashdoll · 01/03/2012 20:01

Reported it! Wink

ViviPru · 01/03/2012 20:03

Maybe it was the Mentor's thread you're recalling, Psam. "AIBU, My intern is out to get me, framing me for bullying incidents I have not committed"

TheGrandOldDuke · 01/03/2012 20:04

I'm obviously not a good troll hunter - why is this not likely to be real??

Psammead · 01/03/2012 20:04

No, it was ages ago. The banana thing really rings a bell.
