To wear my boots in the house

Over the winter I have been changing into my slippers as soon as I get in, I live in a rural area and don't have gas central heating so despite my best efforts, it's usually a bit cool, and my slippers and pink fluffy UGG style ones and are lovely and warm.

But, I bought myself some outdoor boots that are lined and are so warm, I keep having to check my feet whilst I am out because it feels as though I have gone out in my slipped, they are lovely, I don't want to take them off when I come in.

So I'm going to keep them on.

So ner Wink

I think we need a link to the boots thank you.

Your house, your rules.

Depends what your carpets are like...

QuietOhSoQuiet · 27/02/2012 18:03

YANBU I too live in a very rural area with no gas central heating and I may have been known to wear outdoor boots in the house to keep my feet from freezing and then snapping off

squeakytoy · 27/02/2012 18:34

I wear my uggs all year round, in and out of the house... I hate having cold feet!

RevoltingPeasant · 27/02/2012 18:36

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

That's all I have to to say to that. Angry

SunflowersSmile · 27/02/2012 18:39

Can't believe this is an issue! Keep them on and have warm feet..
[Mind you my carpets seen better days and I am slovenly, so ignore me if you like].

YANBU. Having to take shoes off in houses is bullshit. If you're choosing too, fair enough. But being forced to is bloody rubbish.
