Quite the opposite, I've found.
My DD sings 'meet the veggies' when her dinner is put in front of her, and one of her early words was aubergine!

Now, Small Potatoes - that's odd.

Selyna · 24/02/2012 22:45

Trying to coax your little one to eat their greens while they are screaming 'noooooo Colin!!!!!!!'

Selyna · 24/02/2012 22:45

Night night veggies, we won't see you again soon....

AgentZigzag · 24/02/2012 22:46

I always think it's a bit creepy when he sings about Joan 'Hello my dear, haven't you grown'.

tethersend · 24/02/2012 22:47

Oh right. I thought you meant because Mr. Bloom is a cunt.

Sevenfold · 24/02/2012 22:48

I just have visions of small people thinking the veg are real

Agree the singing tatties are freaky, how much did they pay the person who came up with that gem?

Someone in America by the looks of style of it.

I like the one that says "I like cuddles, you know."

Is it Raymond? Makes me laugh every single time.

Cannot bear St Justin. His massive ego will be his undoing.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 24/02/2012 23:30

DS2 took a while to accept eating butternut squash until DS1 convinced him that Raymond can talk to you in your tummy.

I think DS2 has suffered some latent psychological trauma and that DS1 should be a politician.

What I love about Mr Bloom is that he had the idea himself and Cbeebies mentored the idea until he had a show. He was "spotted" doing a street performance with veggies in a pram with googly eyes etc and kids were loving it. It went from there.

I love that a Dad with an original idea found success. It wasn't just dreamt up by a committee to meet targets.

Also- I bet a lot of kids never even knew what Fennel or a Butternut Squash was until this programme.

hideschocolateinthesofa · 24/02/2012 23:41

Haha chaz your boys sound awesome!

I love the singing veggies, I usually have some form of cbeebies tune stuck in my head by the end of the day.

Ooooo, oooooo potatoes, ooooo oooo potatoes!

thirteentales · 24/02/2012 23:42

i actually think mr bloom is quite attractive...

Thinking their food is alive doesn't stop them from eating meat though, if that's your persuasion, does it?

Happenstance · 25/02/2012 10:08

My DD and i love the small potatoes and i like Mr Bloom but DD's not so keen, it hasn't stopped her eating veg :)
