Seems Op your resentment is based on a lot of assumptions and guesswork

MixedBerries · 22/02/2012 21:59

Here you are: National Benefit Fraud Hotline 0800 854 440
Or if you prefer online...secure.dwp.gov.uk/benefitfraud/

He probably does work cash in hand too, it was never clear to me what exactly he does

So you don't know the details of their finances at all.

IAmBooyhoo · 22/02/2012 22:07

he might work nights or shifts which could explain you seeing him hanging around. stop making assumptions. you can't know their exact financial situation, you have already reported her to ofsted and the benefits fraud people and nothing came of it, i would say you are burning alot of unnecessary brain power on what you think might be going in and out of their bank account instead of just getting on with your own business. it doesn't improve your situation whether she gets free school meals or not so dont waste your time resenting her for it.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 22/02/2012 22:16

My husband is home all day and you wouldnt be able to tell what he does just by looking at him.
I am home quite a bit too.
We have a brand new car.

You could suspect that we are both unemployed and scamming the system.

You would be very wrong though because you would be basing your assumptions on very little information and an over active imagination.

Do you see?

I am glad I am able to pay for them myself - out of the wages I get for working as a dinner lady!

I don't know where you think paying for the staff who cook, serve, wash up, set the diner halls and paying for the food itself comes from, its not free you know Shock

brandysoakedbitch · 22/02/2012 22:33

This is one of those nasty Ops when it says so much more about the person posing the 'question' than those she is bitching about.

I can easily afford to pay for school dinners, pay a lot of tax and very happy to subsidise free school dinners for other families. There will always be people who scam the system but they are in the tiny minority.

sississy · 22/02/2012 22:34

It is not assumptions.
She says he does not earn a lot however is never clear about what he does. I don't know how much he earns.
I do know from her they get HB
I do know from her she is not registered.
I do know from my friend how much she earn cash in hand not declared.

I am not worried about their money or their life. Just thought I could post it on here, why not?
Most of you think I am unreasonable, and I think it too, clear from my op, but I wanted still post, so what.
I know next someone will come here saying, oh we wasted our time and blablabla but no one pointed a gun to your head and made you join the discussion anh?
I am done now.
Good bye.
