Had enough of their agenda being forced down my throat whether I want it or not. Major recruitment drive going on lately, and serious opression of other posters views. Just gets worse and worse. This was not what I believed MN was supposed to be about.

I'm off.

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 21/02/2012 19:52

But do keep reporting any posts you think are bullying/personal attacks, make sure MN are aware of them

See the thing with that is, personally I prefer to let the posts stand so that others can see what a twat someone is being.

But apart from that, is there any point in reporting?

MNHQ seem to remove tons of posts by certain individuals but they never remove the actual poster (not that I'm saying they should)

So the behaviour often continues day in and day out...oh and the threads make far less sense with all the deletions Grin

yellowraincoat · 21/02/2012 19:52

Whenever I have an argument with my partner I do the whole I'M LEAVING NOW thing. I'M GOING TO BED. I'M GOING TO SIT IN THE KITCHEN, DON'T BOTHER ME.

Then I come back through AND ANOTHER THING YOU BASTARD.

I should learn to just leave.

Hullygully · 21/02/2012 19:54

Oh I love Friends. And it is always on.

Why isn't Fraiser?

BasilRathbone · 21/02/2012 19:55

I know, and Cheers

I woulld love that

EquestrianStatue · 21/02/2012 19:55

Trying to engage a poster in a dialogue, to examine their views closely, is NOT the same thing as 'attacking' or 'bullying' yet those terms get thrown around so often!

I think some posters percieve a challenge to a particular POV as a personal attack, which it isn't. It can be uncomfortable to have your view challenged and questioned, but it isn't the same thing as being called stupid or ignorant, or having "an agenda forced down [your] throat".

TheCrackFox · 21/02/2012 19:55

Why does no one ever announce that they are going to have a massive sulk? They could be all passive/aggressive and say "fine" all the time.

coraltoes · 21/02/2012 19:56

Frasier is on c4 every morning! (mat leave guilty pleasure)

AfterDinner · 21/02/2012 19:56

Oooo Controversial WL...

What are you trying to suggest by that?

Hullygully · 21/02/2012 19:57

I got all the early series of Cheers for my dc to watch. They are incredibly dated, really odd now.

My favourite EVER is where for reasons I can't remember Sam carries Rebecca across a garden and has to explain to the millionaire that it is a long held dream...

yellowraincoat · 21/02/2012 19:57

There are often personal or rude attacks on MN Equestrian. Not just on feminism, everywhere.

It's not really pleasant to be called ignorant or whatever. I don't mind anyone disagreeing with me, I do mind people being slagged off.

Or worse being misrepresented. That is really bloody annoying.

BupcakesandCunting · 21/02/2012 19:58

Oh I loved Cheers, especially the ones with Diane in.

"NORM!" Grin

What about Roseanne? That was shit, weren't it?

Hullygully · 21/02/2012 19:58

Still, gypsies tonight, that's quite fascinating.

Hullygully · 21/02/2012 19:59

The first few series were BRILL. It was when she went and had all that surgery and stuff it all went sad..

Hullygully · 21/02/2012 19:59

I loved Darlene

BupcakesandCunting · 21/02/2012 20:00

My mum's best mate used to say that I reminded of Darlene. Hmm

chibi · 21/02/2012 20:00

Hullygully · 21/02/2012 20:01

I am vicariously vicariously proud

Hullygully · 21/02/2012 20:02

not pore ol for following your bruv you understand.

WorraLiberty · 21/02/2012 20:02

AfterDinner

I don't do 'suggestions', I'm not that subtle

My post does what it says on the tin so to speak Grin

When someone's accused of bullying, often their 'stock reply' is "Well report my post then"

Then they'll often get loads of messages deleted by Mumsnet....but are free to carry on with the same behaviour.

Perhaps MN needs a 'sin bin' or a 'naughty step' Grin

Come on, gals! Simmer down. We're talking 80s/90s U.S sitcoms!

What about Seinfeld? I hated Seinfeld.

WorraLiberty · 21/02/2012 20:08

Is there a particular reason why some people are choosing this thread to chat about TV? Confused

chibi · 21/02/2012 20:11

threads move on all the time, its a discursive whoosis you see

i did like seinfeld, it was v radical at time in that no one was likeable (nor meant to be) and they never learned anything

I did not like jerry's standup bits

scottishmummy · 21/02/2012 20:11

yes I'd say the fem topics can be bullying and strident
but then so can lots of mn (certainly the bf topics are wild)
it's just fem topics use the sista hood argument is you a proper sista?
