... of buying him socks for Christmas with the days on the week on them, then the least he could do it wear them in order?!

Yesterday, I caught him...

Wearing WEDNESDAY'S socks.

What kind of man have I married????? If he can be this cavalier about socks, what else could he be doing? Next he'll be eating at Pizza Express WITHOUT a voucher!!

Leave the bastard! Grin
My dh does this too!

OurPlanetNeptune · 21/02/2012 11:33

leave the bastard, seriously Grin

This has made me chortle when I really needed it, the kind of thing my husband would do. Thanks OP

savoycabbage · 21/02/2012 11:33

Bundle them all up together and he can pick two random ones out of the pile a day thus increasing his chances of wearing a 'correct' sock.

I think it would get on my nerves more if my dh was wearing the right days than the wrong one!

CailinDana · 21/02/2012 11:35

How about a DH who wears "Monday" on one foot and "Thursday" on the other? I'm not sure I've ever seen my DH wearing a matching pair of socks. Ever.

SarahDoctorIndyHouse · 21/02/2012 11:35

DDil is that you????

If so. if it's any consolation the identical socks that I bought for DH get treated in much the same way (sometimes different days on either foot!!!) and heaven alone knows how DSoniL is coping with his, knowing his past form!!

Echo Jack, leave the bastard (but for gawd's sake don't send him back to me!! Grin

aldiwhore · 21/02/2012 11:35

Agree with savoycabbage I'd seriously worry if my DH wore the correct day's socks. I'd have to sabotage them. And seriously question who I was actually married to.

Saltire · 21/02/2012 11:38

MIL buys packs of socks for the DH and DSes every Christmas. All the same but all for different sizes, so DS2s are for something like size 4-7. DHs are something like 7-11 and Ds1s are 8-13, or similar, so then what happens is DS1 with his size 11 feet ends up with Ds2s size 6 socks on

:o I can't imagine why anyone ever invented "days of the week socks". Lose even just one in the washing machine and the whole scheme is scuppered!

ReduceRecycleRegift · 21/02/2012 11:41

Do you live near me? I saw a man wearing wrong day socks recently.... and I judged him! yes I did!

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 21/02/2012 11:42

I have Ann Summers days of the week knickers....it is my biggest fear getting run over, needing an ambulance and wearing the wrong day!! Oh the shame of it :)

KampaKat · 21/02/2012 12:38

My DH has days of the week socks that my mum bought him.
He always wears them on the correct day.
Went went away once and because he was working I packed for him and packed him the Monday and Tuesday socks for a weekend away...
I like to mess with his mind!

Don't worry about eating at PE without a voucher, there can't be many people daft enough to pay sort of money for pizza Wink Even he wouldn't do that Grin

G0ldenbrown · 23/02/2012 14:43

I REFUSED to buy or allow my DH to buy day of the week socks for this very reason. he has the socks with different coloured heels and her actually UNPAIRS them in order to wear different colours together because "He likes it that way".

Day of the week socks could cause divorce

TheOneWithTheHair · 23/02/2012 14:46

G0ldenbrown we seem to be married to the same man. Mine does that too. He also has a penchant for Homer Simpson socks - which must also be mismatched. Weirdo.

biddysmama · 23/02/2012 15:55

this has reminded me of a royle family christmas episode where she buys jim day of the week socks
