LilacWaltz · 18/02/2012 10:34

DH won't ' let' you?Hmm

RightUpMyRue · 18/02/2012 10:38

It'll be on the net within minutes of having been broadcast.

RuleBritannia · 18/02/2012 10:39

Why is this celeb's funeral so important? Did she lead a life like Princess Diana's? Probably not. For me, it's just another pop singer.

LeBOF · 18/02/2012 10:39

Yes, you are clearly bonkers.

valiumredhead · 18/02/2012 10:39

Dh wouldn't 'let' me either lilac - ffs it's A funeral!

TheBigJessie · 18/02/2012 10:40

Put a begging Want ad for an extra TV on freecycle*? Buy another TV in a charity shop?

*MN can then wait for the inevitable thread about grabby freecycle ads. We haven't had one for ages.

Pascha · 18/02/2012 10:41

I would probably drive 30 miles in the other direction just to get away from it (not that I need to, because none of my friends or family are mad enough to give a shit)

M0naLisa · 18/02/2012 10:47

WEll i say 'let me' hes got no choice but i was a HUGE whitney fan and he'll mock me if i shed a tear or two!! so il watch it at my mums who was also a HUGE Whitney fan!!

I think funerals are for the family and friends of the deceased, not for rubberneckers and other celebrities who want to capitalise on someone's death by being seen at the funeral.

LilacWaltz · 18/02/2012 10:48

I don't know much about her! How did she die?

M0naLisa · 18/02/2012 10:49

Its my choice, the media are playing it on TV why cant fans watch it?

They showed Michael Jacksons funeral/Memorial why shouldnt they show Whitneys? Back in her day she was fucking fantastic!!

It's going to be on E! too

M0naLisa · 18/02/2012 10:50

Lilac
She drowned in the bath.
After taking a sleeping tablet, but with the alcohol she drank 24 hours before that it didnt mix well and she fell unconcious because of it and drowned!

Sad really!!

I know.
Been reading too much digital spy.

fedupofnamechanging · 18/02/2012 10:52

Personally, I don't think it should be televised - it's not entertainment. I think I came across as harsh, sorry I didn't mean to sound quite so rude, but my feeling is that funerals are for people who actually knew the person who died.

I think televising it means someone is profiting from it, which is horrible.

Just my personal feeling though.

M0naLisa · 18/02/2012 10:52

If anyone else is interested its on at 4pm! ;)

Errrr don't you think you are being voyeuristic? This is a bit pathetic tbh. Lots of ways to celebrate her life. You don't need to watch the funeral for that. Highlights will be on youtube soon enough anyway.

LilacWaltz · 18/02/2012 10:59

I dont think it should be televised either! She was just some singer who had her day. Do these families have no respect? It should be a private thing. But hey, she WAS about to release a new album. Apparently Hmm

LilacWaltz · 18/02/2012 11:00

Highlights? Of a funeral?

MollieO · 18/02/2012 19:59

It's on BBC News Channel. Very moving but joyful too.

Sandalwood · 18/02/2012 20:04

"highlights" hehe

It's only since her death I've realised how few hits she actually had.

MollieO · 18/02/2012 20:12

It is her funeral live, not highlights Hmm
