Am I? It's bloody marvellous! I've cleaned the windows, the draining board, the bath and have removed 3 years worth of burnt on pizza cheese from the oven. It's amazing. I'm pretty sure there isn't anything it couldn't do! Grin

Yes please link, sounds great.

aquashiv · 17/02/2012 20:42

Ooooh much as I fecking hate finding out about wonderful domestic items that work and might have to use there is something about a steamer that appeals.
We do have a hand held one that is about as much use as a wet dog fart so yes a link would be great.

viagrafalls · 17/02/2012 20:44

Have a steamy affair instead.

moogster1a · 17/02/2012 21:25

I got one a few weeks ago.
I'm secretly packing clothes so Polti and I can run off together to cleaning nirvana.
Have you used the window squeegee yet?!!!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/02/2012 21:32

We have one too. A Lecospira. We originally got it for a bedbug problem which it resolved without having to resort to pesticide professionals (haven't seen one for almost a year). I've used it on so many things now. Steaming the carpets, blinds, makes cleaning kitchen/bathroom floors really easy, cleaning windows, dusting, steaming out stains, cleaning the car etc. Also proved very handy when our kids throw up ... ugh. It was a bit pricey but we have definitely used it a lot. Nearly every day for something or the other. You do have to be more careful with it than with a regular vacuum cleaner though - not yank on the cord etc.

moogster1a · 17/02/2012 21:38

I used the nozzle to clean round the bottom of the loo. It steamed right under it and out the back. let's just say that with 2 ds and childminding a further 3 boys what came out wasn't pleasant. I never again want to inhale warm steamed years old wee.

igetcrazytoo · 17/02/2012 21:47

I have had a karcher steam cleaner for a year, and I love it very, very much. All this talk has made want to get it out tomorrow and steam, steam steam.

I am currently lusting after a carpet cleaner on amazon. I have been stealing all the loose change in the house - it will be mine soon.

MorningPurples · 17/02/2012 22:08

do you need a carpet cleaner as well then? I'd consider one of these but only if it did my carpets too!

moogster1a · 17/02/2012 22:12

yep, it does carpets as well. it does everything. It is the God of the cleaning world.

OnceICaughtAFishAlive · 17/02/2012 22:28

can they be used on laminate?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/02/2012 22:31

Yes to laminate. It works like a steam mop.
