On holidays last year I saw children using these solid foam armbands instead of the traditional inflatable ones. They seemed to be smaller for an infants arms so I've been on the lookout ever since. Basically discs slot into each other and so can be added to or removed depding on the level of support the child needs.
I spotted them on this website www.swimshop.co.uk/Delphin-Swim-Aid-PDELPHSWIM/
and ordered what I thought was 3 pairs, and paid my shipping etc. What arrived was 3 discs, not 3 pairs. At first I assumed it was a mistake and I 'phoned them to be told that they were clearly labeled and sold as singles.
I could purchase 3 more, pay shipping etc. So I had to pay twice what I thought they cost and 2 shipping charges. Not best pleased.
I assumed that singly meant single pairs, and as many pairs could be used as desired. It did not enter my head that armbands could be sold singly - think shoes, earrings, gloves. The site tell me that clubs buy them in bulk and they are priced in ones. But don't clubs buy fins too? And they ARE sold in pairs.
Now I think the website have repeated the 'single' message at the top in bold, but how does it read to any other mum.
The previous armbands I bought were in a pack - a pair!!
