Sad
OP posts:
LilacWaltz · 13/02/2012 23:20

They were nasty over there..... As if you can't discuss more babies if you already have had some. Nasty nasty

AgnesBligg · 13/02/2012 23:21

Well yanbu obviously. Oh glee off to read horrid thread Grin.

LilacWaltz · 13/02/2012 23:22

Op can't get it right can she!!

Slated over in conception for starting THAT thread, now told here she shouldn't be starting THIS thread

Where should she post then posting police?

puds11 · 13/02/2012 23:22

which thread is this based on?

BIWI · 13/02/2012 23:22

Well, on the thread in question, you had as many people supporting you as you did criticising you.

And it's a bit silly, isn't it, to start a 'poor old me' thread like this, just because some people took offence?

Perhaps you should have thought a bit more about other people and the situation that they are in before you posted in Conception?

Pandemoniaa · 13/02/2012 23:22

Are you some sort of masochist, OP?

DamnBamboo · 13/02/2012 23:25

Lots of people will agree with you, lots won't.

If it is a personal attack, MNHQ usually pulls the thread, or deletes the offending posts.

Has this happened?

SuePurblybilt · 13/02/2012 23:25

YANBU OP. I don't expect to be attacked either. But every day, here they all be - posting veiled digs at me. Dressing it up as discussion about food, or TOWIE or Pip Schofield's knob. I know it's them Being Mean.
Fuckers. Let's flounce to Bounty.

TheParanoidAndroid · 13/02/2012 23:26

you don't need the posting police to tell you that posting an attention seeking yiz are all bitches thread in AIBU cos you didn't like the answers on another thread is a Bad Idea. And terrible netiquette too.

runningwilde · 13/02/2012 23:27

Link please?! If if is like biwi said it does seem you were insensitive. And then to write a post like this is so overindulgent! 'tis the nature of these kind of boards to get attacked so get over yourself - you are being treated no different to anyone else

nenevomito · 13/02/2012 23:29

Feel a bit sorry for the OP.

If she'd have posted "AIBU to want to know if you can select a gender" in AIBU she would have been told to post in the right topic.

She posted in the right topic, not realising that the right topic was a hotbed or raw emotion.

Hey ho! Another strange day in MN land Grin

prizeelliott · 13/02/2012 23:30

Waw what lovely people

OP posts:
puds11 · 13/02/2012 23:30

OP posted another thread under a similar title, and got only support, so why do another one???

AgnesBligg · 13/02/2012 23:31

Ok OP I got the gist of it over there. Well yanbu to ask as I've seen this very topic discussed and no-one fell out over it. Posting on that board about your bountiful fertility was your undoing I'm afraid.

People are very sensitive on here these days I find and quick to get awful cross. Don't worry op. Is just folks and their funny ways.

DamnBamboo · 13/02/2012 23:31

It's a bunch of strangers on the internet.
Why are you getting so upset?

Kewcumber · 13/02/2012 23:32

there were 33 posts on that thread when I looked - hardly flooded with "attacks".

I think you may find MN a bit too robust for you.

Pandemoniaa · 13/02/2012 23:33

I'm honestly not sure what you are hoping to achieve, OP. And I'm not being nasty or attacking you by asking the question. Clearly you've had a difficult experience elsewhere but I can't imagine why you chose AIBU (of all places) to post a thread about a thread. Especially since you are now getting silly on this one.

BIWI · 13/02/2012 23:33

I notice you're new to MN.

DamnBamboo · 13/02/2012 23:34

Netmums -->

Ta ra hun xx

Mwah Mwah

Twinkly sparkly kisses to you

LilacWaltz · 13/02/2012 23:35

She posted about conception in the conception topic, now insensitivity would have been posting it in the 'infertility' topic!

It's a conception thread! In the right place

SuePurblybilt · 13/02/2012 23:35

Hold on - is this the thread in Conception where you ask about choosing the sex of your baby? And you get a few polite responses, say 'thank goodness, I have seen people flamed on MN for breathing' and then get a few more polite responses? And that's it?

What exactly are you complaining about? Is there another thread?

AgnesBligg · 13/02/2012 23:36

Oh, have nice mellow shag before ovulation and leave be a day or so, gets a gril.

Fuck like demons as the egg is oozing down actual tubes, gets a fella. hth.

[Holby trained]

LilacWaltz · 13/02/2012 23:36

Biwi what's that supposed to mean? Why does it matter?

nenevomito · 13/02/2012 23:37

OP isn't new, has been around since 09.

SuePurblybilt · 13/02/2012 23:38

Ah, ignore me. The OP started two threads in Conception on the same topic this week. The second didn't go as well as the first.
Hardy a flame-grilling though.
