I believe in evolution and I believe in God.

Truth is - I have no clue.

There is no evidence that god exists - but there is no evidence - that's evidence that god does not exist. Lack of evidence that god exists is not itself proof that she does not.

So I choose to believe in god and life after death because it makes me happy. Because it gives me comfort. It takes away fear of death for me. It gives me comfort about people I have lost.

If I get to the end of my days and wink out of existance - so what? I won't know anything about it. But I will have been comforted in life because of my belief.

I get cross with god-botherers, though I'm not quite as Dawkinish as some.

I do believe strongly there is a God but it is my personal belief and would not expect anyone, including my child to share it.
