This is the message:

I am Anderson Marks. I'm Currently base in London. I must confess you really captured my attention. Well, I'm the man that you can rely on. I'm strong, passionate and loving, I am a mature, intelligent and literate man. So if you're looking for such a man near you, don't hesitate to write me back so that we can get to know each other the more via e-mails because ever since i viewed your profile there is so much about you that triggers me to you.

Literate???!!!

I have a completely closed profile so I know he hasn't actually seen anything more than my profile pic (and I really don't think this could have captured his attention that much!). We've all heard of some people that get taken in by all of this but I actually just sat here laughing at the thought that, from my pic, this guy thinks that I will fall for this!

It's so tempting to message him back and start taking bets on how long before he asks for money!

How quick can you say "Western Union"? Grin

Aribura · 10/02/2012 11:54

He misspelt "Nigerian prince" and "Bank of Africa." That's all I ever get.

chinam · 10/02/2012 11:55

Do it, do it, do it. I give him two weeks

cheesesarnie · 10/02/2012 11:55

or say 'thats my wife in my profile pic.im a hairy trucker with a feminine name, sorry to disapoint/mislead you, but im up for it if you are xxx Wink' Grin

WorraLiberty · 10/02/2012 11:56

I had to change my settings because I kept getting messages from pervy Turkish men and American lesbians (clearly with fake profile pics)

WorraLiberty · 10/02/2012 11:58

Just ask him how big his cock is and tell him you bet it's not as big and hairy as yours Grin

It is funny, yes but your account has been hacked. Go to the safety centre and report it as they will have access to everything on it. It is crazy the way it comes across, I had one yesterday from 'faceb00k securaty' yes spelt like that, it told me I had been reported for abusive and insulting actions Shock. It gave me a link to go to where I had to log in, I noticed the website address wasn't facebook so I reported it and it turned out one of my friends accounts had been hacked and they where trying to get into others.

Boomerwang · 10/02/2012 13:12

I keep getting messages from someone called 'Adrianna Spence' does this ring any bells to anyone?

bubby64 · 10/02/2012 13:16

I got one like that a few months back, just laughed and went on as usual, the DH happened to see it, and wondered what I had been "up to", as he doesnt and wont FB, he didnt understand how anyone who I had not contacted could send a msg like that! Found out later this block had hacked into my profile. Report it to FB, just in case!!

MoneyBunny · 10/02/2012 13:30

Do something like this; 419eater.com/html/okorie.htm . Long but so worth to read!!!

flossyfloo · 10/02/2012 14:49

MoneyBunny - wow, he went to a hello of a lot of effort for that. Oh to have the creativity and dedication to be able to do that.

I really want to reply back and see how the conversation goes but I am a bit worried about hacking now as a few people have said about it. Think I am going to have to report and delete it. Gutted, I really wanted to have some fun with the scammer Grin
