DD tells me I will be the epitome of bad parenting if I dare to wear them.

But they are comfortable and I like them.

who is U here? apart from bloody school. I know they are U

which DD is this? the one the meeting is about or t'other?

that would be the deal breaker for me on this, sorry

HaveYouTakenLeaveOfYourCervix · 09/02/2012 12:41

the one the meeting is about. she also has to be there so maybe her opinion just matter a little bit.

Leggings. Purple ones. How do they make you feel assertive?

With flat shoes? Heels? What colour shoes?

Do the leggings come down to the ankles or are they capri length?

Details!

JaneMare · 09/02/2012 12:42

i know you meant this a jokey thread,

good luck with the meeting Smile

ouryve · 09/02/2012 12:42

It's cold. Wear them under jeans :o

tethersend · 09/02/2012 12:43

What's the meeting?

I wouldn't.

But the, that advice applies to any given situation. Purple leggings are NEVER ok.

tethersend · 09/02/2012 12:44

Unless you are wearing a blackcurrant costume.

HaveYouTakenLeaveOfYourCervix · 09/02/2012 12:44

the purple leggings art not a joke. i like them.

with shortish DM boots. and a grey tunic thingy.

I am a hippy. There is no escaping that.

OP posts:
tethersend · 09/02/2012 12:44

Are you wearing a blackcurrant costume to the meeting?

If so, ignore me.

HaveYouTakenLeaveOfYourCervix · 09/02/2012 12:46

they are more red wine than blackcurrant.

JaneMare · 09/02/2012 12:47

they aren't purple then, they are maroon Grin

i like the sound of your clothes, i've changed my mind - if they empower you, wear them

noblegiraffe · 09/02/2012 12:48

Purple leggings would seem flaky to me.

Do you want to come across as flaky? Or professional?

OrmIrian · 09/02/2012 12:49

Assertive? Do they have shoulder pads then?....

happybubblebrain · 09/02/2012 12:50

Red wine is not hippy. I think you need to get out more.

tethersend · 09/02/2012 12:50

Going as a glass of wine will make the teachers like you.

Teachers like wine.

ReduceRecycleRegift · 09/02/2012 12:51

they are leggings so YABU
they are PURPLE leggins so YABVU
Only excuse for leggings is pregnancy, and even then...

Boomerwang · 09/02/2012 12:52

Shoulder pads in leggings? Good god!

Pull your leggings right up into your fanjo. You'll be sure to cut them off mid sentence whenever you cross your legs.

ContraryMartha · 09/02/2012 12:52

Wear them.
Now I want a pair of purple leggings and a grey tunic thingy.

Sometimesiwonder · 09/02/2012 12:53

If they make you feel better I'd say wear them. I used to have a HORRIBLE customer, and it used to make me feel more able to deal with her when I wore my cow earrings

HaveYouTakenLeaveOfYourCervix · 09/02/2012 12:55

I am flaky. It's no good. ive tried not to be but it didn't work.

i am too fat for leggings but they are comfy. the tunic does cover my arse.

laurenamium · 09/02/2012 12:56

Wear them! And nothing is more assertive than a woman in DMs in my opinion Grin

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 09/02/2012 12:57

sorry..purple leggings and tunic make me think Star Trek..but I am sure they look lovely and am not averse to wearing the odd pair of leggings and the odd tunic Grin

startail · 09/02/2012 12:58

UABU
Unless you are 10
DD2 has two pairs of purple leggings and various grey and purple tunic thingsGrin
I wouldn't be let out the house, let alone near school in purple leggings.
Ask your DD what you should wear to make you both feel empowered to make school be reasonable and good luck.

coraltoes · 09/02/2012 12:59

If you are too fat for leggings then do not wear them. They look awful on anone carrying a little extra weight. Meetings are not time for wearing loungewear. Dress up, make a good impression for your daughter.

LizzieMo · 09/02/2012 12:59

Wear them- you don't need to come across as 'professional' - you are the parent. The Head and/ or teachers are the professionals. You wear whatever you feel comfy in.
