I think it sounds like a nice outfit. Especially if you are wearing them more like tights, which it sounds like you are. I would wear it and I am about as far from hippy as possible

I love my leggings, black, brown or purple. if you have a decent top and footwear to go with them then go for it.

I wear leggings instead of tights, nobody has said anything ever. I have three pairs of purple ones too. I wear them with skirts or dresses or tunics the same as I would with tights. I am more worried about the dms.
