AIBU to want Harry Redknapp to stay at Spurs?

Tottenham have never been this good in my lifetime, and it's mainly down to Harry.

But now that Capello has resigned from the England job, I think Harry might be stepping into his shoes. AIBU to want to keep him at the Lane ?

I think there is still some unfinished business for Harry re: Portsmouth.

imoanruby · 08/02/2012 19:50

YANBU Of course Harry should stay at Spurs it would be a tragedy if he left.

Forrestgump · 08/02/2012 19:52

Surely he will go?

moonface73 · 08/02/2012 20:05

YANBU, i'd be gutted to see him go.

Pippinintherain · 08/02/2012 20:09

YANBU but I reckon he'll go. Sorry.

Overtiredmum · 08/02/2012 20:10

But surely, he could do both jobs? [Overtiredmum says rather naively.....]

NilByMouthExceptVodka · 08/02/2012 20:14

I'd love him to stay - sadly I think he'll be gone v v soon.

Scholes34 · 08/02/2012 20:15

The resignation of the England manager and the verdict of Harry Rednapp's trial have coincided nicely. Yours, married to a West Ham fan and with a son named after Mr Rednapp.

Inertia · 08/02/2012 21:11

Scholes and ForeRunner - I take your point, he does have a bit of history for moving on from clubs even when adored by the fans.

Funny you should say that about doing both jobs Overtiredmum, DH said the same thing but I don't think it would work in practice.

Who would replace him ? Some Twitter rumours suggesting Mourhino...

YADNBU. I have heard those same spine-chilling rumours too and am not happy!

I was thinking of starting a "Warnock for England" campaign to get the vacancy filled pdq - who will join me!

Lucycat · 08/02/2012 21:20

as a City supporter - yes you ABU Grin

Vicbic · 08/02/2012 21:24

(p.s. I don't actually want Warnock for England but needs must and all that)

Inertia · 08/02/2012 22:30

I'd imagine Warnock makes some of the FA suits nervous - he says what he thinks and they don't much like that.

OP posts:
GrahamTribe · 08/02/2012 22:32

He should stay, of course. Warnock, no chance, he's too outspoken and I think that Mourhino has his eye on Villas-Boas soon to be empty spot.

Overtiredmum · 08/02/2012 22:39

Therre's only one place for Mourhino - hoping he gets back there soon Grin

ilovesooty · 08/02/2012 22:39

as a City supporter - yes you ABU
