AIBU?

AIBU to be annoyed that the children from next door just knocked for DD?

Because it has started to snow. They are all out there now playing - including the youngest who is five.

It's, well, late. DD is eleven and has been in bed for an hour. Her brother is four and they have been asked nicely many times to not do this.

Yes I thought about my username as soon as I hit "post" Grin

In fairness, DD spent the entire morning at dancing, drama and singing, then cinema and bowling with friends so a reasonable bedtime was in order.

I have let my DC go out in the snow in the late evening before now. It's Saturday night, it's snowing the DC are excited. I would agree with you had it have been a school night!

Snow, what snow? All the snow we had today was gone by 6pm when it started raining!

Sparklingbrook · 04/02/2012 22:06

We have quite a lot, but it's raining on it now. Does DD know they knocked?

No she was asleep but her brother woke up. He is autstic and has never slept through the night. He wakes very early and when he wakes up we ALL have to. Poor dd never gets a lie-in.

The five year old is still out there but their family set-up is as individual as ours I suppose. Nobody works and the DC rarely go to school. I just wish they realised that we have limitations.

Well in that case I can appreciate you being annoyed. But at least DD was asleep and didn't feel she was missing anything. I wonder if the parents knew their children had knocked?

They aren't being unreasonable to let the children have a run around in the snow, but at this time they shouldn't be knocking for other children.

Next door's kids (8 & 6) have just come in and as usual an almighty row has broken out Hmm. Angry. I am in bed and no doubt will be kept awake for the next however long it takes them to sort themselves out. Rest of the street is like the grave and has been since dark.

carabos · 05/02/2012 08:24

And now they're awake and at it again.

I think that 10pm is too late to be knocking on doors tbh.

Surely she/someone would have heard them playing & she could have joined them if she wasn´t already asleep wanted to?

So that was a YANBU!

My DS (4) and DD (9) Were out at 10pm last night playing Blush

I'm usually really strict on bedtimes but it was a Saturday and I did rather enjoy my lay in this morning!!

My 11yo was out playing in it - as soon as it got thick enough. Which would have been at 11ish last night. He was up off out like a rat up a drainpipe at 8.30 this morning too!

DollyTwat, what is a snowball maker? I want one, whatever it is, where do you get them from?
