Snakeonaplane · 03/02/2012 22:29

laughing hysterically at fur coat and bejewelled accessories, I too must admire him for being himself but still think the money on thar bag was excessive given it's hideousness.

imgoingtokilldh · 03/02/2012 22:30

the jacket i should have said no to.

not as bad as the bag though, prob quite mild in comparision, still horrible though esp for work

Fairyliz, XH1 was a local government architect. He was very designery/quirky. So were some of his colleagues. Grey uniform isn't mandatory afaik Hmm

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/02/2012 22:31

Oh bless Smile
He's discovering his feminine side, even if his feminine side has seriously bad taste.

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 03/02/2012 22:31

Oh and friend of mine has just said "that's not just bloody gay that's elton spangdangledly gay!! No one would seriously use that would they"

And he's as gay as the day is long :o

countessbabycham · 03/02/2012 22:31

That jacket is gorgeous

I think your DH is a dude.

LynetteScavo · 03/02/2012 22:31

OP, your DC have very cool names, don't they?

SaggyHairyArse · 03/02/2012 22:32

I can't believe someone, anyone, male or female, would be that God awful item :o

snice · 03/02/2012 22:32

Prada do some super shoes too

CupOfBrownJoy · 03/02/2012 22:32

Another one with a slightly eccentric DP here, and I have to say I applaud your DH for daring to be different. But...

that bag is fucking horrible AND a massive waste of money.

Ebay it.

I think camp is the word...none of my gay friends would buy either of these...they are very camp!

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 03/02/2012 22:32

God, that is hideous. Less Prada more Versace.

LynetteScavo · 03/02/2012 22:32

I'm with countessbabycham, your DH is a dude. But then my DH lives in a grey suit and is sensible.

GreenEyesAndHam · 03/02/2012 22:32

I like the jacket but who the hell teams it with a checked shirt?

Are we going louche or are we going lumberjack FFS

pictish · 03/02/2012 22:33

Yeah - I'm certainly not downing his desire to be a bit flamboyant and an individual - good for him!

But the bag? No. Just no. That is a grand's worth of tack right there.

I am trying very hard not to be judgemental about the pointy-but-square-toe shoes too.

No....it's no good....step away from the shoes!!!!!!

countessbabycham · 03/02/2012 22:33

Just steer him away from Prada and into the charity shops.

IDoNotLIKEFun · 03/02/2012 22:34

Oh come on OP, be understanding and help your man move to <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=Liberace+flag&hl=en&safe=off&biw=1920&bih=955&tbm=isch&tbnid=rop_72-4xlt5hM:&imgrefurl=whoyoucallinghousewife.blogspot.com/2010/07/festive.html&docid=ycbSj81oMxnkOM&imgurl=3.bp.blogspot.com/dSgrx-kRCw/TDILBJuqupI/AAAAAAAAADs/JYzY_N9P5_Y/s1600/liberace1.jpg&w=400&h=789&ei=ZGAsT_roEuXS0QXkh6WtCA&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=325&sig=110503440662189954179&page=1&tbnh=140&tbnw=71&start=0&ndsp=52&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&tx=48&ty=55" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">the next stage of his liberation!

brandrethmupp · 03/02/2012 22:34

he didn't buy that. I don't believe you.

garlicfrother · 03/02/2012 22:35

The jacket's lovely.

Are you sure you're compatible, OP??

wotzypunkbunny · 03/02/2012 22:37

Seriously, you say documents are meant to go in it, what about his lunchbox?

squeakytoy · 03/02/2012 22:37

I quite like the jacket.... Grin .. my husband would wear that...

The jacket is flamboyant/lounge lizard but not in the same league of hideousness as the bag (but agree re the teaming with a checked shirt)

ravenAK · 03/02/2012 22:38

If he'd spent £110 on it, I'd be saying good for him (I love my work bag) but £1100 is a lot for something quirky.

Quirky usually comes in at two figures, not three, & definitely not four!
