Fairyliz, XH1 was a local government architect. He was very designery/quirky. So were some of his colleagues. Grey uniform isn't mandatory afaik

The jacket is flamboyant/lounge lizard but not in the same league of hideousness as the bag (but agree re the teaming with a checked shirt)

If he'd spent £110 on it, I'd be saying good for him (I love my work bag) but £1100 is a lot for something quirky.

Quirky usually comes in at two figures, not three, & definitely not four!
