OH Doesn't drive, i think that it's only fair that he gets out the car and stands in the cold and puts petrol in the car when he's with me. he says it's always the drivers job. Who's right?

I think it's pretty shit of someone who has to be driven everywhere to refuse to ever put petrol in the car, and to assign it to the driver as a job.

Hah, dh will shortly be taking my car to put petrol in it for me before I go to work....his choice was either to do it last night or this morning :o

I only do petrol in an emergency, I loathe and detest it.

Driver pumps. Sometimes I will send DH in to get in the queue if it looks busy but mostly I use pay at pump anyway.

Ha! I don't have a car any more but I used to make DH (non driver - no interest in learning, no need to and after all this time I don't particularly want him to) do tyres and petrol when I could get away with it. Nothing to do with having dangly bits, more to do with my massive lazyness.

We both drive. DH tends to fill up when we are going somewhere together, even if I am driving. I have never asked him to, but he knows I feel the cold a lot more than him so I think he is trying to help me keep my cold hands and feet warm. We have ever discussed it - but then we have never fallen out over it.

If we're traveling together I rarely drive but on the odd occasion I have he alway offers to pump and I gratefully accept Grin

I also have a habit of leaving the car to virtually empty and then suggesting he uses it when he needs to take a short trip thus necessitating him filling up my car for me. He doesn't seem to mind but then he is quite lovely Smile

Sara I do similar. I drive his car while he's away becuase it's nicer than mine to keep it ticking over

Then I leave it virtually running on fumes for when he comes back Blush

Driver usually pumps in our household but if DW is filling up her car then I go in and start queuing so I can pay as soon as she's finished. Normally buy her a bar of Galaxy at the same time!
