to think that dh should be supervising bath/bedtime when I am ill

So I have an upset tummy. Cramps and frequent visits to the loo. I went upstairs to rest be close to loo etc leaving dh and dc ownstairs.
Whilst upstairs decided a bath woluld be a good idea. Therefore I was in the bathroom when dc came upstairs to get ready for bed.
I ended up cleaning bath and running new bath for dc whilst dh remained downstairs watching tv.
I am a SAHM with infant school aged children so generally I do almost everything at weekends. However, this is different isn't it?
At least he cooked dinner.

Well you chose to do it so he probably thought you were happy to.

If you were in the bath, he could hardly bath the kids could he?

Did you shout down and ask him to bath them or did you expect him to read your mind?

Sorry, I don't understand who decided a bath would be a good idea - you've left out a 'he' or 'I' in that sentence I think? Not being nit-picky but it is crucial to what you're asking.

If he decided, yes, he should have come and supervised. If you decided, you should IMO have called down and asked him to come up and supervise (though it would be nice if it occurred to him you're sick and he could be looking after them).

Sorry it was I for me.
DC always have a bath on a Sunday
I did go downstairs whilst they were in the bath to get some water and told dh they were in the bath. (Old enought to leave)
I didn't really think I would need to explain that I wolud appreciate him assisting in these circumstances.

YANBU, but you should have asked for help, annoying as it is. Or missed out the dc bath. Hope you're better soon

Oh, sorry, I follow now. Yes, I think he shouldn't have assumed that just because you were already upstairs, you'd bathe them, and if he knew you were feeling unwell he really should have done it. OTOH, I do think you should stand up for yourself a bit more (tricky when you're ill I know), and you should have called him up and got him to do it.

If it was me I'd just go to him now and say how you feel.
