Just watching crimewatch and am struck by how unpleasantly bouffy the male presenters hair is and am thinking there really is no need. AIBU?

YANBU

The only man in the history of the Earth that looks good with bouffy hair is Clint Eastwood, but he's Clint Eastwood so he's allowed.

southeastastra · 26/01/2012 21:44

i quite like that men are quiffing again if i'm honest

edam · 26/01/2012 21:44

My (male) boss has bouffant hair. We are all quite puzzled by his style choice as he clearly cares a great deal about his image and spends a lot of money on his clothes.

Rachelwalsh · 26/01/2012 21:48

Ah, see I would draw a firm line between big hair, 50s quiff style(GOOD) and puffy, bouffant, hair sprayed, home shopping channel presenter style (BAD) southeastastra

fucking stoopid Grin

Rachelwalsh · 26/01/2012 21:52

You're right anyfucker there is no excuse for men or women having bouffant hair.

scarletforya · 26/01/2012 21:55

Is this bouffy?

Cos I still would.....Grin

MustControlFistOfDeath · 26/01/2012 21:56

YADNBU

Also what on earth is Kirsty Young wearing?

StealthPenguin · 26/01/2012 21:58

YABU.

My DP has the most gorgeous, luxurious mop of screw-tight dark curls. He looks like a toddler's representation of a tree*! And I flippin' love running my fingers through it. Plus it's something to... hang on to ;)

*For those who aren't in the know, a toddler's representation of a tree is a line with a mass of squiggles on top. I find the resemblance between that and my DP hysterical very accurate.

AnyFucker · 26/01/2012 22:00

SP, that is not bouffy

believe me

and your dp sounds fit

StealthPenguin · 26/01/2012 22:03

My DP is fucking gorgeously fit, I'll have you know Grin

He's got that "nerd" look about him, but coupled with the best smile in the universe and the arm muscles of a weightlifter.

I fucking love him.

But I still maintain that his hair is "bouffy". And even then, I still love bouffy hair! Just look at Benedict Cumberbatch Sherlock!

AnyFucker · 26/01/2012 22:07

nooo

bouffy is teased, and airy, and of no substance

you cannot actually get hold of it

not corkscrewy and grabbable

StealthPenguin · 26/01/2012 22:10

Oh...

really?

Then no. YANBU. Sod them all - they should all have hair like Sherlock my DP!

AnyFucker · 26/01/2012 22:11
Grin
ObviouslyOblivious · 26/01/2012 22:13

This may become a problem for DS in his older years :o

munkysea · 26/01/2012 22:45

Heh. Absolutely not.

I hate bouffant hair. If you see it in films you know the character is going to turn out to be a twat (viz Aliens).

AThingInYourLife · 26/01/2012 22:50

DH's hair goes through a bouffy phase when he needs it cut.

It looks like a brown cloud (a fart?) sitting on top of his head.

It's like that now.

If he doesn't get it cut soon, it's going to break through to Flock of Seagull-style silliness.

edam · 26/01/2012 23:01

AThingInYourLife · 26/01/2012 23:07

:o

Now that is a fine cut of a man, edam

edam · 26/01/2012 23:16

Grin a man who I'm sure has many legions of adoring fans.

flyingspaghettimonster · 27/01/2012 03:13

The definition for boufy hair has to be the Guy off ancient aliens... Google image search Coz I don't know how to link... the crazier his theories, the boufier his hair...

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/01/2012 13:03

There is no excuse if you have a choice, no. But in defence of Cumberbatch, he is on record as saying he doesn't like his Sherlock hair either. I guess he doesn't have much of a say in how it looks.

fuzzylogic26789 · 10/09/2015 01:36

It seems that some individuals who have psoted comments in regard to boufffant hair are typically judgemental and in todays apparent days of understanding of difference do not understand the true meaning of diversity. Being different regardless of the way one looks or thinks should be accepted according to what is dictated constantly in media, social networking and sometimes our laws.

I have visited this web site via a random surch, and apparently, it seems that often widely taught principles have been cast aside or totally ignored through ignorance by some individuals.

Long live..... bouffant hair

BastardGoDarkly · 10/09/2015 01:46

Hahahaaaa. Seems a strange choice to get your knickers in a twist over fuzzy

And while I'm here, I'll never forgive columbo for going bouffant in the latter years, no need, no need at all.
