She really really likes the sound of the hover Shock. In fact apart from my boobs it is the only thing that seems to settle her. I now have no excuse not to hover so instead of MN all day I am either feeding or hoovering Sad. My other two were never like this!

She hates me doesn't she

Know, but she knows you are a fool. Download a recording of a Hoover and sit back on MN.

coraltoes · 26/01/2012 14:16

No, of course. Not know. I am a fool too!

PaschaAndCustard · 26/01/2012 14:17

No of course she doesn't hate you. Its the white noise she likes. How old is she? Have you introduced her to the joys of watching the washing machine yet? That's white noise too. You can settle her in front, have tea and MN at the same time as achieving a vital household chore Smile

dinkystinky · 26/01/2012 14:18

YABU (but understandably so) Bumps - she's in pain still from the birth. Give it time. DS1 used to really settle to nature sounds - rushing waves, heavy rain, etc - after his traumatic birth - you just do whatever you need to do in order to get through it.

Check out itunes for nature sounds or hoover sounds.

Also, try your little one upright against your body in a sling - the pressure and warmth may calm her too.

LovesBeingWearingSkinnyJeans · 26/01/2012 14:18

Yes she hates you, she started a thread on it last night so we all knowGrin

PaschaAndCustard · 26/01/2012 14:19

Alternatively, I will hire out my hoover and house for a fee if you want Wink while I drink tea and MN

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/01/2012 14:21

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/01/2012 14:27

She is sleeping now although has my boob firmly attatched to her mouth. I dare not move or I may have to hoover again!

PaschaAndCustard · 26/01/2012 14:47

Seriously, all babies seem to love the washing machine going round and round and round...

QuintessentiallyShallow · 26/01/2012 14:49

Can you put her infront of the washing machine? Better than cbeebies.

QuintessentiallyShallow · 26/01/2012 14:49

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 26/01/2012 15:06

My friends hubby recorded the sound of the hoover for their twins as it was the only thing that would settle them.
