excuss the poor speeling in the title it should say cannabis

its only been illegal since 1971
and the street price has been falling steadily (relative to inflation) for the last 30 years
so the war on drugs is all pretty irrelevant to actual usage

legalising it would not neccesarily cause more people to smoke it. If it was controlled and taxed then it would not cause a problem. Its the super strength skunk etc that cause more problems while 'normal' weed is no more harmful in the long term than normal tobacco if smoked and def not harmful if consumed in non inhalation ways. Cannabis is a far less socially harmful drug than alcohol and widespread use would only be good for the pizza industry as well as raising a good amount of tax. They have calculated that if they taxed weed in California then they could give free health care and education to the entire state!!

Before anyone thinks it. I have never taken drugs and am teetotal.

Right - I have two issues with this - my first being we really should, if not legalise, at least declassify & decriminalise all drugs - for many reasons.

My second, if we're going to make them illegal & classify them I would ramp the skunk you can buy today as a class B, if not a class A, it's fucking hideous, pernicious shite, I wouldn't want my 15 year old child smoking it thinking it was innocuous. It's not.
