My kids seem to have taken a liking to it and when the adverts come on want to watch it!
The first time they saw it it was on nick jnr......that channel is aimed at 3 year olds. It has moved on to nickalodeon now but I still dont think slutty manga cartoons running round in next to nothing is suitable for impressionable children.
Im probably going to be told to stop being so precious and that it is my responsibilty to monitor what my kids watch, which I am doing and I no longer let them watch it but surely Im not the only one who thinks its not right.

ahem

It's not manga.
A manga is a Japanese graphic novel.
And not always slutty or rude.

useless post having never seen it

My daughter loves it. They should wear more clothes though. Ive caught her and her friend rolling up their tops so they show their tummies. They are seven, and not good at rolling so show a bit more than they intend. But they love the storylines (although they think the romance angle is yucky) and are always making up new ones in the garden and playground, so I have mixed feelings.

They love Sailor Moon as well.

spingey · 24/01/2012 18:29

my two love it too and I think the story lines are ok I just dont like the lack of clothing. I feel bad for sayinng no but I dont feel comfortable about them watching it.
I havent seen sailor moon. what is it?

DD would probably love it, but I don't want her to think that she has to look like that to be pretty or popular or "in" or whatever. It sounds daft but I love Scooby Doo (and have got the DCs into it too) because Velma is brainy, wears glasses, and is a valued member of the team and oh, everything else that you want someone to be. DD wears glasses and is a bit of a geek/nerd sometimes and I never want her to feel that how she looks and what she wears need to be changed or a certain way to gain acceptance, or that how is she is somehow wrong in some way. (I hope that makes sense Blush )
