"Oooh that's not FUNNY"

"Oooh your username is RUBBISH"

"Oooh you SWORE"

"Oooooh you used capitals"

"Ooooh you used ... in a thread title"

"Oooh you have not posted in a way that I have deemed acceptable."

Who died and made you owner of the board? AIBU if from now on every time I see a self-appointed board police on patrol to link to and tell them to wind their necks in?

"You should all be ashamed of yourselves!"

I hate it when people kill a thread with those words.

Oh pack it up you "wolefs" Grin

TheParanoidAndroid · 24/01/2012 14:01

I agree Poppadom, you're entirely right. I could pretend I was doing it to make a point, but really I was just being a bit of a cow-bag. Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 24/01/2012 14:01

But, where's the fun in everyone being nice? I'm unfailingly nice when people want support. AIBU is just a bit of fun, mostly...

BupcakesandCunting · 24/01/2012 14:02

You were being a cow-bag.

Here, have a toke on the bong and chill the fuck out, maaaaan!

oh I am so confused,so many confusing AIBU threads to get my fuzzy little brain around today Confused

BupcakesandCunting · 24/01/2012 14:03

Everyone doesn't have to be "naice" (although what is the problem with being nice?) but if everyone could just stop acting like Little Hitlers wrt to what is and is not acceptable, I would be very fucking grateful.

myncichips bring on the MN entrance exam! when do we get to take it?

I'm thinking probably not till I've been posting for 6 years under the same name and then remember to post in the correct place with the correct spelling

I'm doomed to MN oblivion and I'll never get the use of though I do sometimes find them funny

kelly2525 · 24/01/2012 14:05

You are not, under any circumstances allowed to have numbers after your name, that makes you a twat

W0rmy · 24/01/2012 14:07

What I hate the most is the fact people feel the need to correct their typos all the time. Just clogs up the thread. Yawn.

PoppadumPreach · 24/01/2012 14:08

it's ok. i was a cow-bag to someone on a thread recently (read first line of her post wrongly and didn't bother to read the rest - then retorted with vigour). had to PM her and grovel as i felt v bad.

i think being a cowbag makes us human...... Smile

W0rmy · 24/01/2012 14:09

My first nn had numbers in it, I was probably a bit of a prat back then. Or was I? maybe I was just made to feel like one by the thread police?

BeanAboutTown · 24/01/2012 14:09

I can't stand Saramago

(slightly OT but only slightly)

Can I tell people to fuck off for making me think about Saramago?

bibbitybobbityhat · 24/01/2012 14:12

Arf at taking it all too seriously (that is actually the first time I have ever typed arf).

I guess the Netmums Gestapo go around asking the naughty posters not to swear and to be kind to everyone.

Mumsnet is what it is. Gestapo, quiches, frothers, cunts, oldies, newbies, cynics, pram huns, mulberry collectors, feminists, stepford wives, dieters, porkers, drinkers, non-drinkers, daily mail reading, Guardian reading, women, men, grans, nannies, childminders, teenagers, sahms, wohms, millionaires, people living in refuges. All gather here = can't please everyone.

OldMumsy · 24/01/2012 14:12

Bupcakes don't you think you are being a bit racist?

W0rmy · 24/01/2012 14:12

A jokey post of mine was very much misunderstood once and I offended someone, who tore me off a strip. I practically shit myself, then grovelled and apologised both on the thread and by pm.

I realised later that this poster was rather prone to paranoia and misunderstanding and tearing strips off people, - wish I'd had the balls to stand up to her.

wahwahwah · 24/01/2012 14:14

I did once refer to someone as a 'Food Nazi', then realised that German Mum from school was right behind me.

BupcakesandCunting · 24/01/2012 14:14

Oh God.

I am being racist.

Where is my bag of skag?

YANBU... for posting that fab link Grin

I have sometimes posted 'your link doesn't work', think its probably useful because then the poster can sort it, if no-one said anything then the useless link would remain and it would all be quite pointless.

Its like pointing out to someone that their skirt is tucked into their knickers or they have spinach on their teeth, IMO, don't shoot the messenger Grin
