We should all strive to be polite too, but if I called myself "Polite" and went round being rude, I'd expect to be pulled up on it. Likewise if you call yourself Rational and post something that people believe to be obviously incorrect or flawed in its assumptions, I think you might attract a more emphatic rebuttal than other people who aren't setting themselves up as The Voice Of Reason by their very name. Do you see what I mean?

I think that's fair enough Rational. But if a poster then keeps on posting the same stuff when several posters have politely explained why it is wrong/rude/ill-informed then that is irritating.
