to wonder why Centerparcs make you stay 3 nights at the weekend when they market themselves at school aged families?

Obviously it's just to get even more money out of you but it's annoying.

I've never been before but have been looking at a weekend next term. But in order not to waste a night that we've paid for, DS would have to have Monday off school, which is obviously against the law!

Madness.

So we're not going Angry

My mum just booked us a break to centre parcs today and I'm so excited that I will not hear a bad word Grin

Do they 'make' you stay? Like physically prevent you from leaving early?

Kayano · 22/01/2012 21:31

(biased and havig never actually been before) Grin

TartyMcFarty · 22/01/2012 21:32

Well I believe that cars are generally not allowed in site except Monday and Friday.

androbbob · 22/01/2012 21:32

We have been for long weekend before and left on the Sunday night after tea and baths. They do let you go early honest! We maxed out the Friday by getting there just after 10 and making a full day of the Friday rather than arriving mid afternoon.

psketti · 22/01/2012 21:33

Well tis the norm with caravan parks too. It works because you get to use the facilities all day Sunday (rather than having to check out at 10am) and you leave in the evening. If you happen to have an inset day on the Monday it's really good too.

cornskull · 22/01/2012 21:33

We've left on the Sunday evening.

Catsdontcare · 22/01/2012 21:34

Just keep him off school it it's not really up there with drug offences or breaking and entering

Catsdontcare · 22/01/2012 21:35

But you can leave early we have done so in the past

Vicky2011 · 22/01/2012 21:37

Well I confess to having DS miss the odd Monday but as psketti says, this is what inset days were made for :)

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 22/01/2012 23:38

They don't make you stay three nights, they just make you pay for three nights Hmm because they are money grabbing.

janelikesjam · 23/01/2012 09:45

Butlins do this too. I thought it was to make it look "cheaper"! when really it would have been cheaper to stay Saturday night at The Grand!!!!

aldiwhore · 23/01/2012 09:47

Just leave on Sunday night.

We usually go (if we go) during the week, in term time, because we'd need a second (actually first) mortgage to go any other time. I'd rather not go at all but its a crazy 'family bonding' idea of my FIL's who has dementia and hasn't clicked yet that none of us much like each other.

ENormaSnob · 23/01/2012 09:49

We just leave on the Sunday night.
