to pull out all the lights in DS's room (age 2 & 4) cos they refuse to go to bed?

My DS's got bunk beds last week and moved in together (in preparation for DC3 coming this summer). They have really been looking forward to sharing and have been so excited about it. So obviously they won't have immediately gone to bed each night but it's now night number 8 with the bunk beds and I am getting peed off of going upstairs every half hour to tell them to go to sleep! They can't get out their room because the door is a bit sticky, we can open it fine but they can't open it themselves, so they stay in their room and wreak havoc play/ read books. I just went up there and they had emptied one of their clothes drawers all over the floor and last night DS2 had ripped a book to shreds so I shouted at them to get to bed (again) and pulled the plugs out the wall for their bedside lights. They still have a little night light on so it's not utter darkness.

I'm not sure if I should just leave them to get on with it and tire themselves out or should I try to be strict and keep telling them to go to sleep?

Lights out means go to sleep in my house. They have a nightlight, so they should be fine
