AIBU to ask for list of Slimming World 'free' foods?

I joined Slimming World about a year ago, lost a bit of weight and haven't been for ages due to not having anyone to look after my little one while I'm there.

Feel confident that I can do it by myself without attending meetings, but can't seem to find all the diet plans and info.

So am I being unreasonable to ask you all to remind me what the 'free' foods are? As I'm getting bored of eating the same old things and feel like I need a bit of variety

If I remember correctly, most fruit and veg are free except for peas and sweetcorn? Pasta, potatoes are free?
But wanted to know more specific items eg, branston pickle, gherkins, beetroot etc, (stuff to liven up my meals which I wouldn't normally think to add!)

Everything except cereals, dairy, bread, oils and obvious 'bad food' is free.
Google really is your friend though.

You can buy a book with it all in I think on Amazon. But it depends which plan you're following - red or green days or extra easy (orange I think).

e.g. if you follow green - it's unlimited fruit and veg (inc peas and corn), unlimited eggs and beans, unlimited pasta, potatoes, rice, noodles, quorn sausages. Then you're allowed healthy extras - which I usually have a slice and a half of brown bread a day and either three mini babybel lights or some low fat cream cheese. You're allowed 15 points a day for what they call "syns" which you can use for anything else really. ketchup would be something like half a syn. a glass of wine 6 syns. a two finger kit kat 5.5 syns I think.

You can also buy a free branded foods book - which has things like Batcehlors Savoury Rice in.

WOMAN Magazine issue 5 on sale next tues 24th Jan (dated 31st Jan) FREE SLIMMING WORLD JOINING VOUCHER... (sorry C+P'd)

If you join, you'll get the book which covers all free foods, your healthy extras, and most syns. Will still cost £4.95 for your first week, but is very helpful.

Follow the extra easy if you don't want to think too hard. Veggies get better results from Green, and Red days are good for more meaty folk. The healthy extras weights have also just gone up from around 28g to 30-35g (or equivalent) but if you know someone who has last year's book, you'll still lose the wieght easily.

Actually. I have last year's book, will cut out the pages regarding my own weight, but you can have it no problem if you pm me your address... can't guaruntee a swift service, but happy to help.

all pickled veg is free, but branston pickle is not, its 1 syn per level tablespoon.

Very roughly, if food doesn't have any 'free food' in it, 20calories =1 syn.
For food like chicken in a sauce, its much more difficult to work out.

For example, say a chicken (1 normal breast average 200g) in sauce ready meal was 600 calories, you could substract the calories in a plain chicken breast (342kcals) from the total, giving you 260 kcals, or 13 syns.

Alternatively you could ask on minimums.
