to not have waxed but let it wane?

I used to get my ladybits waxed regularly, when I was a young flibberty gibbert and had time, money and inclination for this sort of thing. And I spent a lot of time in a bikini. But those days are long gone. Dh doesn't notice or care and I'm seldom in swimwear (I do do a quick shave if I am). So nobody is going to see and there are a zillion other things I need to pack into my days, so it's gone by the wayside.

I'm going for my 22 week scan this morning and I've just thought 'Lordy, there may a vile internal, should I have waxed?!'

Now I'm going to feel all self conscious. Please tell me I'm not the only one to have better things to do with my time whilst preggers with a toddler and I'm not the only one who goes for these sort of appointments sporting the full rainforest look? Blush Blush Blush

Just trim with small scissors for a tidy up if you're feeling apprehensive.

But seriously, they've seen it all, they won't post pics on FB.

With my first I was always terrified of looking unkempt (anywhere!) with my second, not so. My treatment was no different either time, and tbh I felt uncomfortable unkempt or not.

Good luck with your scan. So what if you have a jungle? Look at what's inside! :)

They will see all sorts I'll bet you. You'll be fine.

But kudos to you, being pregnant with a toddler - that's going to sting. Wink

PopcornMouse · 20/01/2012 09:43

I'm sure they see allsorts - I really wouldn't worry!

Rhubarbgarden · 20/01/2012 09:53

Hah, Chaos, now that would be worth fretting over! I should re-phrase...

But thanks for all the encouragement, feel less mortified now.

It's natural to be hairy. Don't worry, and enjoy seeing your baby!

I had loads of checks and internals when I was pregnant with DC2 and it never even occurred to me to trim, shave or wax! If the medical professionals were disgusted by my ladygarden, they hid it very well (oddly, they seemed more concerned about the position of my placenta and the health of my baby). The only time I attempted to shave was just before my CS, and that was horrific.
