To expect the outside door to be kept shut at swimming lessons

Have namechanged for this due to outing issues.

DD just stated a beginners swim class and loved it. However I was quite shocked that some parents, well one Woman in particular was holding the door open as "it's really hot in here". There were wet children walking across the area shivering. I did ask her to close it but she still kept it half open. This was during a minus outside temp.

I then emailed the teacher to say I loved her lessons but this problem should be addressed - she said it's an onging issue and she will "try".

The thing is the other class held there enforces this closed door rule, as my friend tells me. But it has a 7 month waiting list and DD did enjoy the lesson v much and she is a nervous swimmer. I really don't want to pull her out but I feel it is completely unfair on the children for the Teacher to be so wishy washy about it.

DH says he will come along and just keep shutting the door but we can't realistically do that can we?
aghh any thoughts?

The teacher? Surely she has enough to do teaching the kids and keeping an eye on them all

Complain to management!!

Sorry the head "Teacher" is management in this case of the swim school, not in the pool but standing by the poolside observing.
