Are you the mumsnetter who just made my day/year?

I am posting here simply as there is a lot of traffic and I do not want the mumsnetter in question to think I am ungrateful.
I was clearing out my porch today, long overdue and littered with coats, shoes, prams etc and found a lone envelope addressed to the mumsnetter of the house that had slipped under the shoe rack. It had been there since December.
I opened it and there was a £30 Amazon Voucher from the MN secret Santa.
There was no identifying number so whoever you are I want you to know I am very very touched and want to say a massive THANKYOU!!!!!
I have no idea why on earth I was nominated to receive this (probably as a result of moaning on MN!). I have however had a shit year with a very sick child and lots of my own health problems and this has really really made my day if not my year!
So whoever nominated me and sent the present I LOVE YOU! If you feel able to identify yourself so I can thankyou properly I would be grateful.

Grin

It wasn't me but I remember one of your threads. Hope things are better for you now.

frenchfancy · 15/01/2012 21:13

Not me, but wanted to bump. I like it when people are kind, and I like it even more when people say thankyou.

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 15/01/2012 21:16

Awww what a lovely surprise - for you finding the envelope, and for "Santa" when she sees this Grin I've come over all warm and fuzzy now Grin

I think this is not one particular MNer, its a joint thing with lots of members I believe who donate.

McHappyPants2012 · 15/01/2012 21:24

hope thing improve for you soon xxxxxx

some very kind MN out there

MissPenteuth · 15/01/2012 21:44

Fabby, the MN secret Santa is MN-wide, but people are nominated by individuals and gifts are sent by individuals. OP, there is a thank you thread somewhere (Christmas topic maybe?), and/or you could contact MNHQ who will know who sent your gift and can let them know it's been received.

CrabbyBigbottom · 15/01/2012 21:46

Aw how lovely that is! Smile

Merry Christmas OP and particularly the MN secret santa who sent it!

Lovely! Bumping...

AlbertoFrog · 15/01/2012 23:03

What a kind gesture in the first place and so nice to read that it's genuinely appreciated.

Nice start to 2012 for you - hope it continues.

Cherriesarelovely · 15/01/2012 23:05

That is so lovely, I am so happy for you! xx

LRDtheFeministDragon · 15/01/2012 23:06

:)

Touched my heart, happy shopping x

openerofjars · 16/01/2012 00:06

Aw, that's lovely! Did it have a number on the envelope? I think people were asked to put the number after "To the mumsnetter of the house" in the address.

I once found a birthday card two months later, after my crazy postman had evidently fired it through the letterbox with some force (perhaps using a small cannon) so that it had shot across the room and slid under my sofa.

knackeredmother · 16/01/2012 19:31

I didn't notice a number but it is too late to check as the recycling has gone. I am going to e mail mumsnet HQ as well.
