You have to bite and suck at the same time. Blush

I hope you weren't walking down the street eating it. Sad

I just woof it down as quick as I can to try and minimise crumb explosions... thats my excuse anyway.

troisgarcons · 15/01/2012 16:38

There is no 'classy' way to eat fast food, wrapped in paper, upon a pavement. End of.

JustHecate · 15/01/2012 16:38

take it home, put it on a plate and eat it with a knife and fork?

Or get your butler to serve it to you on a silver platter?

Grin
Sparklingbrook · 15/01/2012 16:38

It's similar to my 'eating a Flake' technique Boys. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 15/01/2012 16:40

I like Hecate's serving suggestion. Maybe with mange tout and New potatoes. Grin

Boysrstupid · 15/01/2012 16:44

I prefer a good sausage with my new potatoes.

What did you have to drink with it? A nice glass of red or a can of Tennents Extra? Grin

kreecherlivesupstairs · 15/01/2012 17:07

I love a cheese and onion slice, DD is more of a steak bake girl. We try to contain our crumbs in the paper bags.
Sadly we fail.

EduStudent · 15/01/2012 17:12

YANBU. Ben harder today when they took my Sausage and Bean melt straight out the oven so it was molten [anger] = Hot face

TotemPole · 15/01/2012 17:13

Keep your little fingers poking out as you eat it. Makes you look dead posh like.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 15/01/2012 17:14

Who cares?

LineRunner · 15/01/2012 17:14

It is designed for eating when walking down the street, so that all the crumbs drop on the pavement as a tasty treat for the pigeons and rats. Smile

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 15/01/2012 17:14

About 'classiness', not about the last post. I'm not that rude! Grin

Sparklingbrook · 15/01/2012 17:15

I think you should definitely enquire about the possibility of a Greggs Bib though, maybe one of those plastic ones that collects the bits in the bottom. Grin

EduStudent · 15/01/2012 17:17

Or Angry

Y'know, either or.

TheBigJessie · 15/01/2012 17:39

I think being a Lady Bountiful, scattering largesse (in the form of crumbs) for the masses is dead classy!

RuleBritannia · 15/01/2012 18:01

As Hecate said, items of food like sausage rolls should be eaten with a knife and fork from a plate. Any lady or gentleman would probably not even eat a sausage roll and certainly not with fingers. I have never eaten in McDonald's because I heard that knives and forks are not provided and if their advertisements are anything to go by, I would not like to be present while other people were eating their burgers.

Oh, and eating in the street is just plain bad mannered. Eating on the bus is worse. I might forgive a sweet but that's all. Bag of crisps - no.

GoingForGoalWeight · 15/01/2012 18:02

MY DS never drops crumbs in his buggy when we are in town. from his Greggs sausage roll. He also drinks all 'is tea in 'is bocckle,

Garliccheesechips · 15/01/2012 18:04

No point in trying to be classy when eating mass produced flaky pastry. Get it intya Cynthia.
