Call me a cynic, but aren't they only dropping them a little bit so they can say to the regulator that they did so when they next hike their prices sky high?

I know, and of course the reality of this will hit me one day, but for now I'm just reeling from the fact that any energy supplier has cut prices at all even though like bastards they'll put them up again when we're distracted with the Olympics or something

Headfairy maybe you should join 38Degrees and add your name to the supporters list. They have at least 850,000 signatures, have different campaigns like Save the NHS,and others (can't remember the rest) but the latest is about putting pressure on the energy suppliers to cut prices to affordable levels.

YABU -for the first time ever I signed up to a fixed price contract a month ago. Still got 18 mths left to run...

British gas are dropping their price today but EDF and co aren't going to so til Feb/march just as we're over the worst of the winter. Plus none of them are dropping back to the price before their last price hike.

So I think you'd be more reasonable to stand there going "oi Energy company, do you think we are all fucking stupid you greedy fuckers"
