Sympathy. Fruit and fat free yogurt are so boring aren't they?

Can you get in some Shapers savoury snacks from Boots or some of the biscuits from Weight Watchers, which are actually really nice?

I did Slimming World for a week once, and put on weight!

FabbyChic · 12/01/2012 15:39

I started a diet over a week ago, two days on the trot Ive broke it, ive been shopping and not bought any meals for next week, so for the next five months its crackers for me, thats how i done it before, lived on crackers for five months. lost 2 stone.

QuietOhSoQuiet · 12/01/2012 15:43

I hate to say this but if you are craving something that badly then you should have a small amount of what you crave as if you leave it too long you will binge

A lot of sense in the phrase "a little of what you fancy"

and have you just eaten carbs or is there protein in your diet too as I find too many carbs (total carb addict) make me crave even more carbs

Fleurdebleurgh · 12/01/2012 15:59

You can eat chocolate and crisps on SW, so YABU.

MaryPoppinsMagic · 12/01/2012 16:04

Yes fluer however I am trying loose weight not maintain it crisps and chocolate got me into this fat mess in the first place.

I have some weightwatchers Belgian chocolate slices so I may have one of them.

Step away from the crisps! I have been doing Slimming World since October and have lost 1st 6lbs so far. I snack on ham, cereal bars, free pasta cold, SW houmous, left overs are your friends. Stick with it and it will be worth it. Smile

Birnamwood · 12/01/2012 21:12

I used to buy the vanilla flavoured muller light and add fresh passion fruit to it. It's really tasty and for some reason stopped the chocolate/crisps craving and I think it was zero sins too!

UKSky · 12/01/2012 21:33

It's not always best to buy "diet" snacks and foods as they quite often have a higher sugar content. If you fancy crisps try something like French Fries which used to be the lowest fat/sugar and were lower than the "slimmers" crisps.

Same with biscuits. Read the labels and you might be able to enjoy one of your favourites in moderation.

If you like savoury snacks, I found corn crisps (or rice if you prefer them but corn is tastier). Spread on a small amount of low fat dairylea put on a slice of salami and a slice of tomato. They are heaven.

For low guild puddings try some from the south beach diet - www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/recipecollection.html

And good luck. It takes about 1-2 weeks for the body to stop craving chocolate and such so you've not got long to go now.

I'm doing slimming world and have been snacking on cooked mackeral......ave given up tea and coffee too. Sad

ZogTheDestroyer · 12/01/2012 21:51

Get thee over to the Intermittent Diet thread...

2 days near-starvation very-low-calorie diet and 5 days eat whatever you feel like (if you're doing it my way, some are more sensible than me but they don't get to drink loads of wine mwahahaha )
And a robust clinical trial behind it showing good results. Woot!

GodKeepsGiving · 12/01/2012 21:52

Been there and done that. You are in withdrawal. Go to bed and try to rest.

LaFilleSurLePont · 12/01/2012 21:58

I felt like that on day two, three and to an extent, day four. It was hell, but it's eased now, though I've only been on it for a week.

Have you used your syns? They're there to be used, even for chocolate. I keep fun size bars,Buttons and Curly Wurlies, to have if I feel like a bit of chocolate. They're 4 syns each. Doing this doesn't mean that you can't ever have chocolate again, and diet snacks aren't necessarily better for you. Personally I'd rather have a little of the real thing.

What have you been eating so far?

MaryPoppinsMagic · 13/01/2012 22:18

well i am a big failure...

I have had a migrane from hell today and came down from my dark room at 5ish starving hungry to find DP and DD munching chips from the chip shop...

i had some too
