to get rid of all my baby clothes when we haven't completely ruled out no.3?

We have a loft full of baby/toddler clothes, moses basket, high chair, gro bags etc. Girl and boy stuff as we have one of each. DP began sorting out the loft the other day as it's so full we can't fit the new junk in! At the time I agreed that we should probably get rid of the 12 bags of baby clothes to free up space and to make some much needed cash via Cash 4 Clothes, (I know someone will probably enlighten me now on the ethical/environmental wrongs of this way of disposing of clothes, but ignorance is bliss and I really want to make enough money to get my hair cut...)

We will most likely not have another baby, DP not keen, small house, lack of money, my age etc etc. But I haven't got to the point where I've completely accepted my baby making days are over. Leaving aside these emotional/relationship issues, am I mad to get rid of all baby stuff and risk the chance of having to buy everything all over again? Or, conversely, is it madness to keep all this stuff on the off chance?

If there's still a realistic chance of number 3, it makes sense to keep it all. Just think of the expense of having to buy it all from scratch again.
You don't have to keep it forever, just until either number 3 comes along, or you are more sure that it never will.

Alternatively, if you really want to reduce the amount of stuff in your loft, you could always prune out some and keep less. After 2 children you probably have more than you would really need for number 3.

But then, if you do have another, think of the shopping...!! Grin
