to think the british police/justice system is a joke

ok so I am probably being a bit U, I know the police are only doing their job and have rules to follow for a reason,but need to vent.

In the last 3 weeks I have been verbally abused and sworn at in front of DC on my own doorstep, had a wooden block thrown at my door and some form of liquid splashed/poured over my front door, had a glass bottle thrown and smashed on my car while driving, had 2 of my car tyres slashed and had the aerial from my car stolen; had various rubbish left in my back and front gardens and on my doorstep and shed roof. I have also had several abusive texts/phonecalls, had insults posted to my facebook wall and sprayed in graffiti over a building near my house.

All this and more has been done by one person, it is well known who he is, yet the police can apparently do nothing about it.

Unfortunately, the police need a little thing called evidence. You may well know who has done it, but without witnesses or some corroborative evidence, then there is little they can do about it.

Is it to do with an ex or something, as sounds like that kind of thing? If so, the domestic abuse unit should be able to give you some help, and maybe talk about panic alarms or something to help you feel safe.

It does sound rubbish for you though, you're not being unreasonable to be wound up about it happening.

It's very very distressing for you im sure but you must keep reporting it all - don't be disheartened

yes the need for evidence means that this person just needs to be a bit clever, act when no one else is around, and they will never be stopped. Like I sai I know the rules are there for a reason. i am reporting everything, even the fact my car aerial was replaced(different colour) this afternoon. I know thats no a crime, but its just his way leaving his calling card and laughing in my face and the police who can do nothing.

Its just really stressing me out, I keep thinking that next time the news runs a story of a family been murdered that could be me and the DC, everyone knew he would/could do it, but there was no evidence to stop him.
