I have sat on the info for ages and didn't do anything except get angrier and angrier.

For christmas son's friend got a pony, bmx bike, x box, ipod and family ski trip.

My son got a second hand lego set as that is all we could afford this year.

Son's friend gets free school meals and all school trips paid for.

We can't afford school dinners and scrimp and save for son to go on school trips.

Son's friend's dad lives with them and works but I know she claims benefits as a single mum.

She earns £25 an hour cash in hand at a racing stables.

She gets everything paid for, including housing benefit etc.

We can't afford ponies nor lessons yet she has 2 competition horses.

I never thought I 'd do this as she's a nice person but I've had enough.

I do wonder whether the Ponies had to be sold Hmm

Stratter5 · 12/05/2016 23:24

Oh for fucksakes, I reported it as a load of bollocks

SilverBirchWithout · 12/05/2016 23:42

Wonder why it wasn't deleted 6 years ago? How depressing it is that these benefit trolls have been around that long.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 12/05/2016 23:45

Why is a Zombie thread in Discussion Of The Day?

I'll report myself.

"If she saw a shoplifter should she not tell the security guard?"

A poor person stealing something small from a big shop? I probably wouldn't be a tell-tale in that situation, especially if they were stealing food.

RandyMagnum · 15/05/2016 11:26

A "tell-tale" are you 6 years old or something? I prefer the correct term of; scumbag thief instead. Being poor, how big a shop is, or how little that is stolen is all irrelavent. Theivery, is theivery.

Same goes for people who still use the term "grass" as adults, how about dropping the the childhood vernacular, after you've finished school.

ZOMBIE THREAD

snowgirl29 · 15/05/2016 18:34

YNBU at all. It's people like that that give single parents a bad name.
Good for you.

Sparklingbrook · 15/05/2016 18:35

This thread never gives up does it?Grin

snowgirl29 · 15/05/2016 18:39

Oops. Sees it's a zombie thread.

Robio · 23/04/2017 14:17

I know this is a very old thread, but I came across it by chance whilst searching for info on something completely unrelated, and I just wanted to say that I feel sorry for the 'benefit cheat' (who you refer to as "a nice person"), who by the sounds of it is just another mother trying do do the best for her family and in the process is possibly defrauding what is a ridiculous, unfair and sometimes frightening system. But I also feel sorry for you, foogle.
Your reason for shopping this "nice person", is clearly avarice! The fact that your son gets rubbish christmas presents, or that they go on skiing holidays for that matter has nothing to do with the laws that may or may not have been broken here, never mind the rights and wrongs of the situation. I am truly sorry for you, if your world is so small and outlook so bleak, that you have to intentionally try to harm a "nice person" to...what? Feel better about your son's miserable christmases? I'm sure they're not so bad, and I myself had many a great christmas morning assembling hand-me-down lego sets! I also went on the odd skiing holiday, though my family were neither rich nor (to the best of my knowledge, anyway) were they benefit cheats.

Some five years later on from your original post, I hope that you are a happier, better-adjusted human being and that your son's friend's mum's family have not been hurt by your previous vicious actions. May the force be with you.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 23/04/2017 14:41

Like bollocks you didHmm

Robio · 23/04/2017 15:04

Like bollocks I didn't? What did or didn't who do like bollocks?

winewolfhowls · 23/04/2017 15:48

Rick Grimes would be fucked if he were fighting zombies as stubborn as this thread

Ethylred · 23/04/2017 16:11

Haven't RTFT but, while I'd love this to be true, it just might be a wind-up.

Anyway the real question is: did you judge them? Because grassing them up to the DSS or whatever is good, but judging them is bad. Always.

Introvertpants · 27/02/2018 23:04

25 quid an hour in a racing yard. Well that's shite I'm afraid.
I've worked in racing for many years and even the top notches don't pay that amount Hmm
