I have sat on the info for ages and didn't do anything except get angrier and angrier.

For christmas son's friend got a pony, bmx bike, x box, ipod and family ski trip.

My son got a second hand lego set as that is all we could afford this year.

Son's friend gets free school meals and all school trips paid for.

We can't afford school dinners and scrimp and save for son to go on school trips.

Son's friend's dad lives with them and works but I know she claims benefits as a single mum.

She earns £25 an hour cash in hand at a racing stables.

She gets everything paid for, including housing benefit etc.

We can't afford ponies nor lessons yet she has 2 competition horses.

I never thought I 'd do this as she's a nice person but I've had enough.

I think this is where I came in?

Can I get you nice mumsnetters to look at the threads I started in politics and SEN, it is on a related theme.

Triggles · 10/01/2012 14:01

that's okay.. as long as you don't let your children post about it on fb, you should be fine. Hmm

QuietOhSoQuiet · 10/01/2012 14:09

Notthefull what are the thread titles in sen and politics ?

WinterIsComing · 10/01/2012 14:10

Xenia, your post makes no sense.

Have you read the thread and do you know what the consequences might be?

Perhaps your accountant might made a mistake. Something along the lines of considered to be evasion rather than avoidance. Slap on the wrist and a fine from HMRC.

Your youngest are not taken from you and housed in care in Tower Hamlets with similarly-aged damaged children who have taken all manner of drugs and have life-experiences you don't even want to think about while the investigation is ongoing.

Oh. No that doesn't happen to people like you does it?

Serenitysutton · 10/01/2012 14:14

oh winter don't be a drama queen. there is no usggestion whatsoever this woman will loose her kids. Shes only been reported! what a lot of hysteria.

Hullygully · 10/01/2012 14:31

You know what?

If I read this in the Daily Mail, I would think GOODNESS, WHAT A POLITICALLY MOTIVATED SHIT-STIRRING BIG FAT LIE

So it's a good job I didn't.

MustControlFistOfDeath · 10/01/2012 14:31

OP Never mind the benefit fraud line, get on the blower to the Daily Fail, this is just up their street. And if the piece could be reported by Liz Jones so much the better Wink

Hullygully · 10/01/2012 14:32

serenity people that say things such as the thing you have just said, are often called morons.

MustControlFistOfDeath · 10/01/2012 14:32

Grin Hully

TeWihara · 10/01/2012 14:36

WTF? I got deleted too!

I have never ever been deleted before. I explained why I didn't believe the OP and what they could say that would convince me, htf is that a personal attack?

QuietOhSoQuiet · 10/01/2012 14:36

quick someone must be sitting on Hullys button :o

Hullygully · 10/01/2012 14:38

You can't do personal attacks. I have helpfully outlined several acceptable alternatives. One more than once.

MildlyNarkyPuffin · 10/01/2012 14:38

What Hully said. And I'm still pouting that no-one appreciated my skiing horse link. It was class.

Triggles · 10/01/2012 14:40

Hully, you are such a giver. Thank you. Grin I like examples. They help immensely and provide a chuckle.

Hullygully · 10/01/2012 14:40

Oh I missed it. Is it far away?

Hullygully · 10/01/2012 14:40

I AM a giver. Yes.

SuePurblybilt · 10/01/2012 14:41

She's not a giver. She's a carrier.

Hullygully · 10/01/2012 14:42

A carrier bag

GypsyMoth · 10/01/2012 14:43

Yes, I would like to know the benefits claimed because you can't report for benefit fraud unless you know for a fact, they are claiming them in the first place!!

And false reporting wastes time and money

MildlyNarkyPuffin · 10/01/2012 14:43

Ahem [needy]

Hullygully · 10/01/2012 14:46

Well that is impressive, narky. I have never seen a snowplough so elegant.

WinterIsComing · 10/01/2012 14:52

Hate to say it but this thread is making me cast a beady eye on my neighbour who has claimed as a lone parent for over TWENTY years when her partner is definitely living there. Five children. Youngest is coming up for seven so she is trying to get her hysterectomy "undone" Confused and was very unhappy about what the G.P said because it is her "right" to have it reversed apparently.

How can that not raise a red flag?

I was a LP of ONE child for a few years and certainly didn't have time to go out and erm, socialise with men who might get me pregnant. I was too busy either working or trying to survive on benefits.

Triggles · 10/01/2012 14:54

Well, Winter you were doing alright until your last comment. You rather make it sound like LPs aren't allowed to date or have sex. Hmm

GypsyMoth · 10/01/2012 14:54

Claiming as a lone parent??

This is where myths come into it...... There are no benefits exclusively for lone parents, with exception of a council tax discount.

GypsyMoth · 10/01/2012 14:55

Raise a red flag to whom??

The DWP don't inspect contraception!!
