When you have teenagers you have limited interest (well I do) on babies/ conceiving/ child rearing. I used to post a bit on the step thread but now our kids are older it's less relevent and it often turned into a stepmother/mother cat fight. Relationships can be interesting but is often depressing. AIBU is light entertainment. I get serious and earnest at work, and have to be nice and not fight with people there.

re pelvic floors I got some of those cone thingies and was impressed at retaining the heaviest one. Felt I should go out and get a medal or something. Now after 2 weeks of coughing will have to start again with empty cone I fear.

I bought my own Christmas presents for him to wrap up. So I got a rather nice diary and calendar, some very comfortable slippers and a jigsaw (which he really, really, really, really hates, even more than he hates mumsnet [snigger]).

dd suspects I bought them, because of the jigsaw.

But since my birthday presents also included clothes pegs (I kid you not) I wasn't taking any risks.

I don't mind nothing. What I really mind is 100 quid wasted on crap (crappy clothes/slippers/kitchen stuff/books I'll never read/dvds I'll never watch etc etc).

What's the deal with the clothespegs?

Do they thnk "Ohh she just loves doing the laundry, it;s her hobby, I'll get her some new pegs, that's a winner!"

To be fair, for me the clothes pegs were the result of the fact that I had muttered "I must get one of those octopus thingies from Ikea to dry socks".
