I know IABU. It is an acceptable hour for home improvements.

I have a raging headache and have a small deadline for PhD in philosophy soon. The drill is so loud and I can hear it everywhere in the house.

Sad

Yes.

But it might just make you feel a whole lot better.

takingbackmonday · 03/01/2012 16:12

Agreed, but the court case would be an additional headache.

I just spelled additional 'idditional' then deleted it. That is the extent of my headache. I might cry.

PhD in philosophy
That's a redundant expression, isn't it? Wink

YADNBU and I might to the same to the head at my work.

put some headphones on with soft soothing music, take a paracetamol and cry away.

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 03/01/2012 16:21

LOL - you know it's a perfectly reasonable hour for DIY :)

Can you go out for an hour or two and work in a lovely, peaceful cafe? Bonus of fresh coffee??

hellhasnofury · 03/01/2012 16:21

Dispose of the evidence in the cavity they are drilling.

Hope the headache clears soon.

wahwahwah · 03/01/2012 16:22

Earplugs? Can you ask them sweetly how long they will be as you are feeling poorly?

WellHello120mm · 03/01/2012 16:52

I'm not your neighbour I hope. DP has been drilling for ages!

takingbackmonday · 03/01/2012 16:55

Lueji - I know that, you know that, most do not.

It is has stopped. The storm thwarted their efforts.

Paracetamol has kicked in.

Thank you all for your kind words in my hour of whining need.
