I have had a really bad year. Mainly due to a bereavement. Yet facebook and my mobile is full of Happy New year type messages.
AIBU to just reply to the txt ones I receive but ignore Facebook.
Normally i will happily send them but not this year.

I would just leave it TBH if you dont feel up to it nobody knows if you are still up or not , an d its only facebook it doesnt matter x text messages are different you can answer them individually if you want to but you dont have yto , i hope next year is better for you c

YANBU. I don't like NYE as it reminds me of my dear departed grandparents and uncle and friends who are not here. i feel it's a time for relfection if anything.

I also find it baffling why people waste a text to their entire address list that just says Happy New Year.

1, It's gone to everyone so they don't specifically mean you

1. It's boring- "Happy New Year" I mean how many times have I heard that?

YANBU. I've ignored all texts and FB 'greetings'. Am in too much of a bad mood though not for anything like the reasons you have. I just can't be doing with it.
