OK. He had Frontline Combo a couple of weeks back, as usual. He's stopped scratching (at all) but I found a black fluttering thing in the loo (sorry if TMI) yesterday when I pulled down the winter underthings and I'm now paranoid. Shouldn't they want to eat him and them DIE??? (He sleeps in bed.) Why should I be involved at all???

Apart from hoovering frantically etc. Please don't get me started on bed bugs.

Aargh... Bugs - don't you hate them?

Off to bed now.

Yours (scratchingly)

cozie

Black fluttering thing? A bat? A jackdaw? (Personal experience, though not in the loo! Shock)

Whose winter underthings? Do you refer to extra bedding (human) or thermal underwear?

Selks · 31/12/2011 02:21

What?? Confused.

cozietoesie · 31/12/2011 02:23

What the hell are you talking about?

tigerlillyd02 · 31/12/2011 02:28

I didn't think fleas fluttered? More so jumped - and they're never there long enough for you to catch sight of them properly. What are winter underthings?

PigletJohn · 31/12/2011 02:39

woodworm beetle?

TopazMortmain · 31/12/2011 02:51

Really want to help but... Huh? Grin

MangoBrain · 31/12/2011 03:11

Sharon and the wine, anyone?

marriedinwhite · 31/12/2011 08:05

We have three cats, the odd flea but frontline does the trick, a very old house and several loos.

Are you saying you found a black fluttery thing in your pants or there was a black fluttery thing down the toilet? Either way, what does that have to do with cats or fleas?

Do you think it might have been a metamorphosing vampire - have you just had an amazing night with Christopher Leigh?

SarahStratton · 31/12/2011 08:26

Frontline doesn't work anymore, you need Advocate. And what sort of fluttery thing? Fleas dont fly.

marriedinwhite · 31/12/2011 08:43

SarahStratton - you are right - we use Advocate but I still call it front line Blush

butterfliesandladybirds · 31/12/2011 10:04

Hahaha, married you made me splurt over my keyboard there!

FantasticVoyage · 31/12/2011 10:21

Why doesn't Frontline work any more?

Red2011 · 31/12/2011 12:44

Surely if it is a vampire, it's garlic you need? :)

stubbornstains · 31/12/2011 12:49

Advocaat? No wonder he's still got fleas if you're treating him with the contents of Grandma's drinks cabinet. He won't be dealing with anything for a while if you've been dosing him internally. I recommend black coffee.

FWIW, we use Strongbow Stronghold now.

SarahStratton · 31/12/2011 13:09

I guess it's like nits/nit lotion, the fleas are immune to it now. One day all the bad creepy things will be immune to everything, and then we will be fucked. :(
